Both of them CAN play at this level. Both of their coaches have just decided it’s better for the team if they don’t…Newman has at least proven he can play at this level.

You don’t think Kofi would’ve made Illinois a point better versus Marquette or helped us beat the same Maryland team we had beaten by double digits a week or 2 prior? Weird. As I pointed out already, XJ has better numbers than Frazier.
Weren’t you recently saying that MSU and Wisconsin were overrated? Now those are wins over the “#10 and #11 ranked teams”.
Why would I assume you win those games when you lost to Cincy with your full roster.
Davis, Murray, Liddell, TJD, Cockburn
It’s college basketball. Upsets happen all the time. I know that Marquette is a better team than Cincy. You don’t think Kofi would’ve made Illinois a point better versus Marquette or helped us beat the same Maryland team we had beaten by double digits a week or 2 prior? Weird.
I think they are overrated by current rankings, but that’s my opinion. Thats what they ARE ranked regardless. I should’ve added that studdly Michigan Team you lost to by 10+ at home😉
Which do you think of Frazier or XJ has a better chance of making an All-Big Team?
You forgot “in my opinion”. Hunter Dickinson has better numbers than all 3.Edey/Ivey deserve it over TJD.
Both of them CAN play at this level. Both of their coaches have just decided it’s better for the team if they don’t…
I personally think Ivey is 1st team: 17/5/3---48% from floor---72% FT--43% from three. You serious Clark?
More than one player from a team can be 1st team..Name your 1st team.
If taking a player from Purdue, Edey has put up much better numbers.
I didn’t say the 1st team could only contain 1 player from each team. Ayo and Kofi were both 1st team last year. Same with Cody and Oladipo.More than one player from a team can be 1st team..
My First team:
Davis
Ivey
Liddell
TJD
Kofi
Lot of ****ing talent in this league----I mean that list is leaving off dudes like WIlliams, Edey, Murray, HArper, Dickinson, etc, etc....
IMO, not a ton of difference between 1st/2nd teamers this year.
Lol uh okay.
Marquette is better than Cincinnati yet only beat us by 1 without Kofi? Btw I said after that game Marquette would make the tourney and most thought it was laughable at the time. It’s college basketball. Upsets happen all the time. I know that Marquette is a better team than Cincy.
Lol you played them when they had guys out with Covid and they STILL gave you a game. Not sure how you lost to Maryland though. We had no trouble going to their place and wiping the floor with them.
I doubt either of them make the All Big Ten team. Other than Kofi, Plummer is really the only other guy that has a shot. Same with IU and TJD/Race.
He’s currently shooting 50% FG, 40% 3pt. TOs and defense is what is keeping him out of the rotation, but he’s proven offensively that he can be very effective at this level. How has Lander proven he can play at like this level?
If TJD makes first team Murray is only one that makes sense to take off.More than one player from a team can be 1st team..

Idk why you continue to try to use what happened in one game as proof of what would happen in another given completely different circumstances. It would be like me saying you have no chance against us on Saturday because you lost to Purdue at home and we beat them.Marquette is better than Cincinnati yet only beat us by 1 without Kofi? Btw I said after that game Marquette would make the tourney and most thought it was laughable at the time.
Illinois has been one of the more injury plagued teams in the country and yet with a victory on Saturday, they’ll be a top 10 team.
Frazier will 100% make it over Plummer (is he better than Adam Miller yet? Lol) Stats don’t tell the whole story
He's shown moments......His problem is defense. I don't care if he was/has been great/good on offense, dude couldn't guard his shadow. He has the ahtletic ability, speed, and skills, to be a solid PG in this league. Confidence can be a killer, man.....I don't think he is, or ever was a 5*....He had 5* moments in HS, for sure. And against some really good comp. I just think leaving early, struggling under Miller, then getting buried by trnsfers under Woody, has hurt him more than his talent has.How has Lander proven he can play at like this level?
He’s currently shooting 50% FG, 40% 3pt. TOs and defense is what is keeping him out of the rotation, but he’s proven offensively that he can be very effective at this level.
I just see no way you keep a kid off the 1st team that is 5th in scoring, 3rd in rebounds, 1st in blocks and 5th in FG%...Of course that kid is TJD.If TJD makes first team Murray is only one that makes sense to take off.
But most of that is due to a lack of team success, his numbers are ridiculous and I can’t fathom how bad that team would be without him.
So you think we would’ve lost to Marquette and Maryland with Kofi? Don’t dodge the question this time.Idk why you continue to try to use what happened in one game as proof of what would happen in another given completely different circumstances. It would be like me saying you have no chance against us on Saturday because you lost to Purdue at home and we beat them.
Plummer has proven to be better than Miller. I was wrong on that. You ready to admit Payne is exactly who I said he was all off-season?
How often has he played mop up duty this year? The first two games? Other than those two games he has only played mop up minutes two other times in which he didn’t take a shot. In the 6 games he got real PT he shot 53% FG and 50% 3pt.Tell me you’re not counting stats during mop-up duty.
Shots are shots....And he played well in both overtimes vs Cuse. He didn't play mop up time vs MD---he was back-up to X due to Rob's injury, and played 11 minutes, with 5 points/1 assist.Tell me you’re not counting stats during mop-up duty.

Idk what would have happened. I thought you would beat Cincy and Purdue. I would have thought you would have beat Marquette and Maryland too.So you think we would’ve lost to Marquette and Maryland with Kofi? Don’t dodge the question this time.
And Payne’s defense has been really good. Hard to get much rhythm when you are max getting around 10 minutes a game. We will see what happens moving forward in a Kofi-less world, but I’m not ready to throw in the towel with him.
And yet he’s proven he can be effective at this level. That’s only 20 less shots than Ethan Morton has taken on the year, btw. He’s taken a whopping 22 field goal attempts this year. Talk about a small sample size.
So you think we should have won 4 of our 5 losses and yet you don’t believe we are a top 10 team?Idk what would have happened. I thought you would beat Cincy and Purdue. I would have thought you would have beat Marquette and Maryland too.
Payne is a trashcan. His defense hasn’t been anything of note. He’s been exactly who I told you he would be all off season.
BTW, what happened to that D3 1st round NBA lock you were supposed to have?
Show me where that is true? I don’t think you’ll find it,Why are you quoting season long statistics when the All Big Ten team is based on what you do in conference? Edey scores 66% of the shots he takes. Ivey only 43%.
That doesn’t even take into account how poor Ivey is defensively.
Yep, 6th man in that scenario is going to be upset.I just see no way you keep a kid off the 1st team that is 5th in scoring, 3rd in rebounds, 1st in blocks and 5th in FG%...Of course that kid is TJD.
I agree on Murray. He's a stud, and certainly 1st team material. But man, there's a lot of dudes deserving...SOmeone is gonna get left off that for sure deserves to be 1st team.
And yet he’s proven he can be effective at this level. That’s only 20 less shots than Ethan Morton has taken on the year, btw.
There are some games you won that I thought you would have lost coming into the year. @Michigan, @MSU, @Wiscy. You still have a tough schedule upcoming and I expect you to lose some of those games as well.So you think we should have won 4 of our 5 losses and yet you don’t believe we are a top 10 team?
Again your logic doesn’t make much sense.
Hutcherson’s back injury came back with a vengeance. Something of which I stipulated in any post I made about him all off-season.
Payne’s a backup center currently. Being behind Kofi doesn’t provide much opportunity. Though Underwood playing BBV over him versus Maryland/Michigan St is concerning. Like I said I’m still not giving up the dude, he shows flashes.
Lol #1 offense… #87 defense. Neither Lander or Morton are very good.We have the number 1 offense in the country lol. Morton doesn’t need to take many shots. And he’s a significantly better all-around player than Lander. That’s not really saying much though.
Michigan St lost to us without Kofi/Curbelo. LolThere are some games you won that I thought you would have lost coming into the year. @Michigan, @MSU, @Wiscy. You still have a tough schedule upcoming and I expect you to lose some of those games as well.
So are you going to spend all off-season telling us how great Hutcherson is going to be again? Or are you finally going to write him off like everyone else.
Payne also got benched in the 2nd half vs Purdue after his thuggish display. Payne sucks. Assuming Kofi is leaving, you will be losing 5 of your top 6 players.
Payne is no where near the player I thought he’d be and apologized to the Purdue fans but to be fair Belo would’ve really helped his offense. His defense has been pretty solidPlummer has proven to be better than Miller. I was wrong on that. You ready to admit Payne is exactly who I said he was all off-season?
Just realized your Wiscy win was at home. Coming into the year I thought you would lose to them on the road.Michigan St lost to us without Kofi/Curbelo. Lol
Wisconsin was projected 10th in conference, you thought we were worse then them coming into the season?
Story still isn’t adding up.
Hutcherson had a career ending injury, dude. We will have Ty Rodgers starting at his position even if he was healthy.
Again Illinois will be top 5 in conference even without Kofi, and the favorites with him. Not bad all things considered.
You realize trying to project starting lineups for next year is pointless now and I wouldn’t count Kofi out.Just realized your Wiscy win was at home. Coming into the year I thought you would lose to them on the road.
I had you 4th or 5th, so it’s not like I had you losing a ton of games.
He’s had that same injury for the last 4 years, yet you constantly told us he was going to be an impact player for you. Rodgers is going to start the 3? I would have thought he would have been a 4. That will be a ROUGH shooting lineup.
Curbelo
Goode?
Rodgers
Hawkins
Payne
Yikes.
Obviously. I’m just trying to wrap my head around how Gillinois has Illinois’ floor at 5th given that current projected lineup. If Kofi is back that changes things. If not…. It would take 4 or 5 impact transfers. You realize trying to project starting lineups for next year is pointless now and I wouldn’t count Kofi out.
We don’t play Wisconsin on the road this year, even if we did I think we’d win.Just realized your Wiscy win was at home. Coming into the year I thought you would lose to them on the road.

Idk how you can still beat the “Morton isn’t good” drum. He’s Purdue’s most versatile player off the bench and can play 4 positions. He’s played solid D all year, can handle the ball, shooting 47% from three, and understands his role. He makes Purdue a better basketball team. There isn’t an objective argument that he’s played poorly this year/doesn’t deserve minutes.Lol #1 offense… #87 defense. Neither Lander or Morton are very good.
Freshmen don’t typically have a big impact and you are counting on two of them to start? We don’t play Wisconsin on the road this year, even if we did I think we’d win.
He had the original injury in his senior year of HS, then played 2 years, then had to sit out but was healthy, then got re-injured last year thus a redshirt. Again we seem to be doing fine with Williams/Grandison regardless.
PG-Curbelo
SG-Epps/Podz
SF-Transfer/Goode/Melendez
PF-Rodgers
C-Payne or Dain Dainja (Baylor Transfer former top 50 kid)
We will be top 5 in conference, just like this year I said top 3. We are #1 currently FYI.
He’s been torched several times this year defensively. However, so have the rest of your guards. He’s a player that won’t hurt you, but also won’t win you games. He’s like a poor man’s Galloway.Idk how you can still beat the “Morton isn’t good” drum. He’s Purdue’s most versatile player off the bench and can play 4 positions. You don’t play meaningful minutes and often close out games on a top 5 squad if you are a bad player.
Are you friends with a hairdressers 2nd cousin from New Castle? GTFO you numb nuts. Painter is FOS when he praises Morton. Morton can’t hold Landers panties.Idk how you can still beat the “Morton isn’t good” drum. He’s Purdue’s most versatile player off the bench and can play 4 positions.
