you might want to raise Iowa as Lunardi has Iowa as a 3 seed and this was after Cook left.

Tell him there's more ways than message boards for getting information, accuses me of getting my information from a message board.

Sometimes it's hilarious, sometimes.. painful.

The “national” perspective is to give Painter the benefit the doubt now. You know Purdue fans will be riding high on that

I mean, its not that far fetched. BUT....I mean, losing Carsen is HUGE. They have some pieces, though. But Edwards leaving(Cline gone too) is pretty big shoes.

True. But think about this time last year. The how do you replace 4 senior starters discussion. It was yeah Carsen is a stud but where’s he going to get help?

Carsen was already a stud. No one has proven that to this point. Not saying it won’t happen but currently it’s all unproven.

And even though Chucker had some rough games he still drew the defense to him

I mean, true. BUT....I don't think many felt Carsen would be that good. Or maybe some did. Plus, it does help when losing 4 starters, to have that type ofplayer returning. Look, I'mnot gonna underestimate Painter/Purdue. But i do think life after Edwards is gonna be tougher, than life after losing 4 starters.

Lol. Purdue at third? You drunk?

You had an All American to help with that. This coming year? Uh, yeah, not so much.

now, but I like Transfer DJ Harvey from ND and he is expected to pick between Vanderbilt and Iowa. in a week or 2 at most.

what the loss of Moss does is give Fran 2 more scholarships give with the Hauser boys coming for a visit the odd might go up. the youngest Hauser played on the same AAU team with Wieskamp.

other than Wisconsin, Iowa offers them playing close to home and with them having to sit out a year, there will be plenty of playing time for them. the player from Akron just committed to USC [west].

just what does the color of a players skin have to do with their ability to play BB.
past Iowa players
Bobby Hanson started on Iowa last FF and has a NBA Championship ring. Waite and Kraftcism also started on Iowa last FF and BT Championship.
Horner played on a team that won 25 games under Alford.
Bullard was on the same team as Horner
Hanson the BT Defensive POY.
Bullard a 10+ year NBA Vet
Bowen a 10+ year NBA Vet

Iowa has a long history using white players and having success. so tell me again what is your problem with White players and how many are a team?
The Hausers seem like a perfect fit for you guys. Not the Harvey kid.

Edwards was not very good at all for most of the conference season and Purdue still won the conference title. The league doesn't look that strong. Purdue was picked like 5-6 by most of you last season and finished first. Finishing third really isn't that crazy

Yep

Chucker chucked it but still scored plenty of points at the free throw line. He was still very important for Purdue even during conference. Acting as such is just incorrect.
he was our best player by a mile, im just saying he wasn't that great during the conference season. he was out of his mind in the tourney

He shot .347 in conference play. Christ the mental gymnastics is impressive. He had 3 horrible games.
lol alright, the guy was an incredible player, doesn't change the fact he wasn't very good in conference. He shot 34 percent from the field lol

Where did I say it was crazy?

Gtfoh he finished fvcking 3rd for Kenpom’s PoTY.

Most underrated skill in college basketball is the ability to put the ball in the hoop. Carsen did that exceptionally well. Kenpom system is great and the fact his numbers reflect Carsens value helps prove that out.

I'm questioning Purdue potentially finishing 3rd. I'm not sure where the scoring will come from. They also dont have any backup 4s and really no 3s on the roster. Painter could get them top 3, but the roster is very flawed.

Mason Gillis is a back-up 4 and Brandon Newman or Stefanovich can play the 3. In a motion offense, the 1-3 is pretty interchangeable. Can you elaborate on why it’s a “very flawed” roster?

Solid grad transfer PF pickup for us. Averaged 14.8ppg and 6rpg at Drexel. Between him, Curry, Omersa and Isaiah Ihnen, we have some options at PF with Murphy gone. Just need Coffey to come back now.

If Mason Gillis a true freshman who hasn’t played a game in like 18 months is playing backup minutes that’s less than ideal.
