Your non-conference slate is comically easy so he likely only needs to go 3-6 in Big Ten play to reach a bowl. Is that too much to ask of a 3rd year coach?
It's IU football. Lol. And it's not like bringing in a new coach is going to magically make that happen. Enough of the coaching carousel. As long as we continue in the right direction, which I think Allen has done, then I'm good.

Iowa is not all white. isn't that being racist?
Calling out that Iowa has a nearly all-white team is racist?

Unless I'm mistaken, you have 1 player that's black on your team. It's peculiar in a sport dominated by other races that Iowa has carved out a niche of a predominately white team.

Will fans ever truly care about IU football? Aka not leave at halftime? I feel like that's one of IU's biggest issues.
Our fan support is night and day better now than it was a decade ago. Granted, still not great, but it's not nearly as bad as it once was and it's continuing to get better.

Would be a huge get for us. I'm not overly optimistic yet, but sounds like we're getting a serious look.

I would still be pretty surprised if he doesn't end up at Memphis, but Indiana did a hell of a job on the official to get them to this point.
Same. However, it does seem like we've made up some serious ground. I honestly didn't think we had a shot in hell at getting him after he cancelled his visit (prior to rescheduling). Now apparently we're going down to the wire and will be in the discussion. Staff has killed it with him so far, hoping they can close it out. He'd be a big help next year.

Any additional shooting is needed for sure.

You talking about Purdue?

Just making sure I follow correctly considering we return statistically better shooters.

RP: 31%
Smith: 23%
Durham: 33%
Green: 39%
Anderson: 23%

Stefanovich: 41%
Wheeler: 36%
Hunter: 21%
Boudreaux: 35%
Proctor: 34%

How are you statistically returning better shooters? That's before factoring in that Purdue is bringing in more shooters than IU is with the freshmen class?

Jesus man, really?

For IU: Smith, Durham, Green, Phinisee, Anderson: 129 for 381 @ 33.9%
for PU: Haarms, Boudreaux, Wheeler, Stefanovic, Hunter: 82 for 243 @ 33.7%

IU's returning players have taken and made more threes at a higher clip than Purdue's returning players. So again, not sure why you made the comment you did referencing IU considering they return statistically better shooters.

I'm not convinced at this point that either of the teams freshman will contribute in a big way from 3 this year. I also think that Newman, Franklin and Thompson are all comparable shooters at this point. They all shot pretty well this past year.

Let me know if you have any additional questions. Happy to spell it out further for you.

Moss is black is a starter
Toussaint is black
Cook was black was a starter
Pemsl is mixed race and was a starter

when 3 of the players were/are starters the all white term gets thrown out the window
Dailey who just Transfered was black. there are others that were recruited that were black
Jok was black and was a 3 year starter
Marble was black and was a 4 year starter.
Cartwright was black and was a 2 year starter after transfering from a JUCO
Jones another JUCO transfer was black

so your post wreaks of racism saying white players can't play BB.

Are you accusing me of racism against white people? LaughingLaughing

You are reaching pretty far back to find black athletes. That says it all. You just listed two that left the program early and a third that was considering leaving.

I never leave at halftime unless the games over. I go back in if there’s a comeback. Plus, in a couple of weeks it is going to be announced they’re selling bears (to my knowledge)

Well I’m very behind. Last Sunday I was told that they’d announce it within the next 2 weeks. Does this mean fans can’t come back if they leave? That should be a rule too if we want good turnout.

I factored in Proctor because I think he’ll have a solid impact next year. Obviously going from High Point to the B1G is a big step up but he was rated as one of the best transfers out there. I think of all 3 freshmen, Newman will have the biggest impact from Day 1. Not sure how big of an impact Franklin or Thompson will have.

We heard the same about Bordreaux, too. That's why I said returning players. Not freshman. Not transfers. I don't have a good sense on how any of them are going to do this up coming season.

I don't see a big difference between Newman and Franklin, either. I think both will get minutes next year.

Cook entered the NBA Draft
Dailey left to find playing time else where
the same with these white players
Flemming
Meyer
or are accusing Fran of running off just black players?

in the 2020 class there are only 4 white players with offers the rest are all black players,
these are the top white players with a Iowa offer
G Morton
C Dickerson
C the kid from Minnesota Chet [can't remember his last name] Minnesota is recruiting very hard. should Minnesota stop recruiting himbecause he is white?

remember it was you that brought the color of the players into this conversation not me.

look everybody Jaycg15 is saying that recruiting white player can only lose.

heads up Purdue
Indiana
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Iowa

stop recruiting white players,

Newman is considered one of the best three point shooters in the 2019 class. It’s what sets Newman apart and why he vaulted up the rankings last summer.

Vaulted all the way up to #119 in the 247 composite rankings...

Fyi, Armaan Franklin shot a higher percentage from 3 while playing a tougher schedule than Newman this season.

Cook is leaving whether he gets told he is being drafted or not. He looked to transfer last year, but decided to not sit out a year.

What do those teams have to do with the University of Iowa Klansmen? They have diverse rosters.

Indiana fans: I'd rather die than watch an IU football game
Fred Glass: I have the perfect solution
Iowa is petitioning that polar bears be exempt from sales, but all other colored bears are fair game.

We’re on Rivals so I’m citing Rivals rankings. Went from unranked to as high as 75th in the country after his great shooting display last summer.

Do we wanna make a charity bet on what freshman shoots better from 3 this year? I’ll take Newman you take Franklin.
