Did you see any IU fans wet themselves when Yogi tied the Rookie for number of 3 pointers made in a game? Nope. And that was during the regular season, not a preseason game.

I bet you get pumped when your favorite NFL team wins preseason games too, huh?
I have no idea, don't remember. What'd I say regarding his 8 3s anyway?

Please explain the logic behind the 10 vs. 14 teams comment. Thanks.

Yep
before Maryland was not part of the BT, PSU, Nebraska or Rutgers were there to compete against.

this means there are now 14 different team now competing for the BT Championship vs just 10 before,

now you can answer me this, are none of these teams allowed to win their games and compete for the BT Championship?

Can you please post the stats for the 7th grader. TIA.
he just started 7th grade and he is Fran's 3rd son,
Fran got the nic name White Magic while playing BB for Wake Forest and his mother played BB for ND, his brothers and him all have the genes to play solid BB.

Including height and weight
don't get weight or height at that level but in the video he was the tallest player on the court. range to 3 good passing skills and dribbling and defense for his age group and 1 maybe 2 years older,

things can change as he get older, he can improve or he can peak early or worse he can get hurt, this happened with Jok as a FR and SO in HS he was rated 1 of the top 5 in his class then in the summer between his SO and JR season he had knee surgery to shorten the ligaments, before teams like Duke, Kentucky, Arizona, UNC were all in on him.

after they all gave up on him while Fran was the only one to stick with him.

injuries can do so much to a players career,

You don't remember because nobody came here like fanboys clamoring over Yogi hitting nine three's in a game.
Outside of JohnHoosierr (who doesn't fvcking count), this is what was said by Purdue guys about Carsen's outburst:

I know it's just the preseason but bah gawd Carsen is on a heater tonight.

Eight 3s and a layup in a little over half a qtr. Insane.

It wasn't until a certain IU fan poster overreacted to Johnhoosierr's trolling that other Purdue fans got involved. Hmm....

I'm sure he'll be fine. More than likely he'll be a D-1 player that ends up at Iowa. He has the advantages of learning all the nuances of the game from his dad and older brothers.

Just not a fan of pumping kids too early. There's a couple kids from the southeast that stand out to me, as far as players that got caught up in the hype. Major Wingate blew up at ABCD Camp 20 years ago. He was the #1 recruit heading into high school his freshmen year. Ended up signing with Tennessee and had a very so-so career. The other one is Seventh Woods. After his freshmen year mixtape was released, he was a seen as a can't miss prospect - the next Russell Westbrook. After watching him these past three seasons, I think it's easy to say he's been the most overrated recruit to play for UNC this century. Dude is a turnover machine that can't shoot. Anyway, I'm sure the younger McCaffery will be fine. Just a long ways to go before anything serious materializes.

SA got a player that people were going all ga ga over in JR Angle who committed to SA in his SO year, never did live up to the hype

Jok as a JR Scored 16 ppg then as a SR led the BT in scoring @19.9 ppg. his knee issue still follows him.

Pig has brought it up a few times IIRC, too.

I don't remember because I wouldnt give a shit either way. It's a player I don't follow, and a reaction on a message board. Why tf would I remember something so trivial years later? But what did I say about Carsen's 8 3s game?

It’s a shame that the wet fart Purdue posters here ruin it for the rest of you guys. I’d be annoyed if guys like guestavo were still around. Notice the only 3 people to troll about Michigan’s scrimmage were Purdue posters. JayCG has been knuckle deep in Michigan’s asshole all year and even he hasn’t touched it (yet). That’s the type of stuff we deal with from the low tier Purdue posters.

It's funny how much you troll in comparison to the amount you're able to withstand.

My trolling of Michigan has been about as lighthearted as it gets. You're just very sensitive to it. I'll take it from a 4 to a 2 for you.

a quick note on Garza, as a SO had these for stats vs what Uthoff did as a RSJR
JU
30.3 mpg
12.4 ppg
6.4 rpg
LG
23.6 mpg
13.1 ppg
4.5 rpg

LG is better than you or anybody else on here want to admit.
Cook avg'd these
31 mpg
14.5 ppg
7.6 rpg.

Garza can do better than that this season, especially if he gets to avg 30+ mpg

Well Purdue guys, this is the first time in awhile that I've been nervous for a football game. Win and we're likely to go to a bowl as long as we don't shit the bed against Rutgers and Northwestern. Lose and all momentum is gone for Illinois's season. This is our regular season Super Bowl- I never would've expected to say that about this game a week and a half ago.

It's fun to actually care about the game, and I'm more optimistic than I've been in awhile. I'm just not so optimistic this isn't a classic Illinois letdown. Good luck.

The weather is going to blow, which I think is advantage Illinois since Purdue can’t run the football and Illinois is great at generating turnovers. I’d be a lot more confident if it wasn’t a monsoon today.

I can actually see it. The kids is the clumsiest looking oaf I've seen on the basketball court. He's like a knuckleball. A big, slow meatball wobbling to it's destination, yet when used properly, it's effective.

He surprises me a little bit every time we play. He positions himself very well near the hoop, and he can knock down a three. He's not fast or quick, but he's crafty. He's not very good at defense, but he's big. He probably smells terrible, and no one wants to guard that. He's a good rebounder as long as he doesn't have to move for the ball. I can oddly see it happening.

Above all else, Iowa's roster is very well built around Garza. If you look at it outside of 1 other guy (2 if Bohannon plays), there are absolutely no other options because Iowa sucks. Who else is going to score?

Now, Gil, let me save you the time on the response. This is trolling. It means some of what I said was said to incite a response. Not all of it completely reflects my true feelings. Is Garza a wobbling meatball? Yes, he very much is. Do I think he's a good player? Yes, I do.

I haven't decided if it's an advantage yet. You can rip some big plays on short throws against this defense. Our DBs aren't great.

You’re so soft. You can dish it but you certainly have shown you can’t take it.

Given the Wiscy upset, emergence of David Bell, injuries, weather and overall inconsistency from both teams, I honestly have no idea what to expect from this game.
I laughed at this. Honestly think Purdue pulls this out.

Before the Wiscy upset I would have thought a likely Purdue win, but that defense looked pretty good and it’s going to be heavy rain supposedly. The strength of their offense is running the ball while we chuck it up in the air. Weather isn’t going to help, but Purdue is at home, which is why Purdue is favored. We’ll see. Won’t be surprised by any outcome.

Hear ya and I’m the same. Think it could go either way. I didnt watch much of the Wisky game and admittedly haven’t seen the Illini too much. But Purdue can score in a hurry and I tend to go with those teams in a close one.

We're averaging more points than Purdue and have a big play offense too though..
