Zero chance you have a girlfriend/wife.

And I’d say you’re technically wrong considering we’re getting an official visit and considered one of the potential landing spots. So I’d guess our “chance” of landing Garcia is higher than zero.

He'll get lost in the middle, find one thing he misunderstood, and hammer that point like it nullifies your argument.
that maybe true before they they put the new 3 point line out past 22' vs the 20' line.

now all of sudden the probaility of higher 3 point shots goes down, see a lot of players that stand at the old line and shoot 3's and not shoot at a high rate, now those same shooter, have to move back 2' and you think they are going to make them at the same rate.

lets wait and see how big a affect the new the 3 point affects the %'s.

Inside sources told me it's just a courtesy visit. Zero chance he actually picks iu.

You guys are going about this all wrong.

@dragonhawk1855, Iowa shot more 3pt FGs than 10 other B1G teams in 2018 and 8 other B1G teams in 2019. Why is Fran coaching them to shoot more 3pf FGs than all those teams?
offense is his specialty and he recruits shooters, this hurt the defensive side of the game.

Wieskamp shot 45% from 3 but also was a very good defenders.
Patrick shot 45% from 3 but also is a very good defender
Fredrick shot 48% from 3 but also is very good defender
Toussaint shot 35% from 3 but is listed as a Lock down defender'

not only is Fran getting shooters but he is now getting athletic defenders that can shoot,

the Murray brother did this
20 and 18 as SR's
shooting 42 and 38% from 3
avg'd 1.7 and 1.5 spg each
they did this as shooting guards @ 6'5
now they are both 6'8 and still dribble and shoot like guards. with wing spans of 7'0 they can disrupt the passing lanes. not having big time offers mean nothing

Wieskamp never got one
Jordan never got one
Jok never got one

and yet they have pretty good careers going and finish.

3 of the guys you listed haven’t played a minute of college ball. Their 3fg% is meaningless, or did you forget already they won’t be shooting at the same distance as those numbers?

And how the hell do you know they are good defenders? Having never defended a collegiate player.

Patrick, Fredrick, and toussaint have never played a game of college basketball. Their high school shooting percentages are not relevant. You probably thought Connor McCaffery was going to be a good shooter last year as well and he shot 20% from 3.

Beat me to it haha

Connor also suffered a concussion and was playing 2 sports,

you ignore where Wieskamp shot over 40% from 3 in HS and led the team in 3 point shooting @ 42% from 3
Jordan shot over 40% from 3 in HS and as a FR and SO shot over 40% from 3,

this will be a interesting season to see what Connor does this season he went 6 of 29 not a big enough sample to say for sure here was a stat that was posted he went 2-13 to start the season the 4-13 to end the season. so which is the better indicator of his 3 point shooting capabilities? ``1

Fredrick made 103 3 in shooting 48%, that is no fluke.
Fredrick scored over 900 points his SR season, players don't do that is they can't shoot.
if CJ just shoot's 38% that will be by me, just like if Garza improves his 3 point shooting to 34% from 29.2% again that will give Fran another option

4/13 is 31%. That’s still not someone you want taking a 3 as it is less than 1 ppp as others in this thread have tried to explain to you.

My guess is that the competition Fredrick was playing wasn’t very good. P McCaffery May be a decent player this year as he is easily the best talent of those 3, but if you are counting on any of those 3 being big contributors, you’re out of your mind. I think I actually saw you say recently that Fredrick would average around 12 points RollLaughRollLaugh.

True, but they also moved back the layup line. That's big.

not having big time offers mean nothing

Not having big-time offers = Not a big-time player

Not always, but usually. Players sometimes slip through the crack like Ja Morant and Mike Daum. That is the exception, not that norm. When there are 3,000+ players from non-power conferences, odds are you'll have a couple of really good players. 90-95% of those guys, however, would not make the rotation for a top 50 team.

Feeling pretty good about the Garcia recruitment, better than Brooks, Langford, and Garland. Almost on par with TJD. Who knows with teenagers, but just got a good gut feeling here.

How about Phin, Lander, Hunter, Garcia, TJD starting lineup in 2021 if they all commit and stay. We can dream right?

Well we got three of the five already and they’re all likely to stay. Then add in we’re in great shape with Lander and Garcia, it’s not real far fetched. Let’s hope Arch can close them out!

This pacers/pistons game is like watching a junior high game right now. So ugly

Imagine getting beat by Luke Kennard. Oh boy.

As a pacer fan, that’s beyond embarrassing. Obviously Drummond is going to get his but letting someone like Kennard drop 30 on you is a joke. The guy’s average at best.

He’s a good shooter, but yeah agreed.

I genuinely want us to trade everyone, tank, and get some good draft picks. Being stuck in NBA mediocrity is no fun. Not good enough to compete, not bad enough to get the top franchise altering prospects.

Since 2006, they’ve had 3 meaningful draft selections that they didn’t trade away. Paul George, Myles Turner, and Lance Stephenson (fell in the 2nd round due to being a piece of shit human being). It’s amazing how bad they’ve been at drafting. Average first round pick has been 14.9 in that time span too.
