Maybe you cannot read very well. I dunno. Yes, Langford played nearly the entire year. But he did so with a torn ligament in his thumb. If you don't think that impacted his abilities, then I question your ability to talk basketball.

Yes, Rob only missed 3 games. But the injury went beyond missing games. He was never the same after the concussion. Not until late did it seem he got back to where he was before the injury. Missed a ton of practice time. Even after being cleared.

Yep, a lot of Hoosiers piss on Davis. I get that. But he was an important piece, and he showed that early. When healthy, dude can be dominant. He was as close to 100% early inthe season, than he had been in a long, long time. When he got hurt again, it just shut him down. Losing him thinned out an already thin F/C. Plus, no one ever said he was as important as Morgan. But thats irrelevant. He was important to the team.

Like I said---I get it. Its ok for you guys to whine about injuries...But not IU. Understand that. But dude, Indiana lost 7 rotation guys, for clsoe to a 100 games. To dismiss that, and cry about your own(injuries) is just stupid.
A basketball season is over 35 games. Also, I’d much rather have our QB1 play through an injury (like he did with an ACL tear in Brohm’s first year) than be out for nearly the entire season.

Says the guy who doesn’t think a scoring guard would be negatively impacted by an injury to their shooting hand. Lol.
At least he played. Wish our QB1 could play through his current injury, but he’s out the rest of the season.

Langford was a SHOOTING guard. Who tore a ligament in his hand. I mean, I don't know what else to tell you. Kid still dropped 16ppg---with a bum hand.

I mean is your hate for IU making it incapble for you to realize how impactful injuries were to last years team? Dude---IU was 12-2, and ranked . Then the injuries come. Its no coincidence that the bottom began to fall then.

Jesus.

Not sure how this compares to having QB1 for only two games the entire season, LB1 out the entire season, DT1 possibly out the entire season, WR1 out at least 3 games, WR2 out 3 games so far, WR4 out the last 2 games, RB1 out the entire season so far, RB2 out the entire season so far, and DT2 out the rest of the season.

It doesn't NEED to compare. It's not a dick measuring contest to see who had more injuries.

1. Indiana's injuries were a valid excuse to why Indiana sucked.
2. Purdue's injuries are a valid excuse to why Purdue sucks.

Purdue fans acted like #1 is b/s and injuries shouldn't be an excuse while using #2 as a crutch.

And is your hate for Purdue making it incapable of realizing that having a team’s QB1 completely miss all but two games impactful to this year’s team.

What does it matter? The injury to Langford still hampered his ability. I wish we could have had a 100% Langford. If so, I'd say we win more than 19 games.

Missing 3 games isn’t that big in the grand scheme of a full season of basketball. Hunter hasn’t played a game yet, who knows how much he would impacted the team last season. You guys sht on Davis all the time, it’s not like he was nearly as important as Morgan. Langford played nearly the entire season.

Ok we’re done with this then. Now it’s clear that your such a hater that your incapable of being reasonable.

Wait, you think that first quote is being reasonable? Give me a break.

Just so we are clear..........

Purdue fans feel its OK to use injury excuse for Purdue struggles...

But don't feel its ok that IU uses the same excuse, because basketball season is longer?

Ok.

Yes, I would argue that Purdue injuries have been far worse. Missing 3 games in basketball is the equivalent of missing one game in football.

It's not about who had worse injuries. Indiana's injuries don't need to be as bad as Purdue's to be a valid excuse as to why they struggle last season. If you can't see that then you are incapable of reasonable.

Why are you stuck on the amount of games? He was out a month. No practice. No games. No nothing. When he returned, it was clear he wasn't the same player. So what he only missed 3 games. That's irrelevant. The injury cost him a month of basketball. Missing a month in basketball, is like missing close to half of a football season.

We’re not comparing who has it worse. We’re trying to get you guys to admit either you all were overly critical to IU last year given the significant injuries they went through or you’re not being critical enough on your own football team for not producing like you all thought.

I would agree that those injuries could have been a couple games, but you can acknowledge that we’re missing frontline guys that are absolutely key to any team.

Ok

Also, lost in this.......

While Purdue's injuries are worse than Indiana's, their season is going significantly worse too.

Indiana: Not as bad of injuries, not as bad of season. Injuries still a valid reason why expectations weren't met.
Purdue: Worse injuries, worse season. Injuries a valid reason why expectations weren't met.

Any of you Purdue fans that don't think this is fair are slappies. Period.

WHich are worse, or more impactful, isn't relevant. WHy is that so hard for you to understand? I mean I could have a flat tire....but you have 2 flat tires. EVen though you have it worse, we both get the same result---A car that isn't 100%. I don't see how why this is so damn difficult for you to comprehend.

I really wish posters would stop using some posters comments and equating it to an entire group of posters. Obviously I’m a Purdue guy but don’t recall diminishing the injuries IU had last year - if I did it was completely a troll but to be honest I don’t think I did. For the obvious reason that the assertion is stupid. IU got nailed with a lot of injuries affecting key players and/or depth. Also hard to get the roles and rhythm down. It hurt them significantly. For the same reasons to ignore that Purdue has gotten hammered with injuries in football is equally as stupid. You can argue impact but that’s a lot of crap as well. IU got hurt in b-ball - Purdue is getting hurt in football and honestly Purdue wasn’t looking deep anyway. And clearly the top two trolls in this thread really don’t give two ****s about an honest dialogue.

I agree with this. Sorry not sorry you didn’t speak up sooner. You could have posted this during the basketball season while a lot of the other Purdue guys were railing on IU and downplaying the injuries. Now, we’re doing the same thing to you guys and your delicate feelings get hurt. Again, I agree both teams were negatively impacted, but I wasnt the one to start the injuries don’t matter discussion. That was the Purdue guys...

It's Snu and Hail's schtick. We've got a couple of Purdue fans who do the same. It's what weak minded people do.

Nearly the entire team. We also had guys playing through injury. And you’re not really making any point, either.
My point is that Purdue fans were mostly unforgiving during that run, when IU had almost the entire team playing. Degree of injuries are certainly important. Hell, Purdue would be much better with guys playing through injuries than missing the entire or large portion of the seasons.

I don't think that calling out Purdue fans for being unfair in how they treated Indiana's injury rittled season is deserving of personal insults but okay.

And you guys had nearly the entire team playing in your lose to Nevada.
No we didn’t. On defense we were missing our only all-B1G players. Bailey will be out the entire season and it’s looking like Neal may be out the entire season as well. On offense, RB1 and RB2 have been out the entire season so far. We started a walk-on at RB.

Edit: with the above being said, they absolutely still should have had enough to win that game.

So you were only missing starters in 3 of 22 positions that game?
