Just about any team in the league can talk shit to Iowa fans. That’s what happens when you only win half your games in a “good” year.
the only good thing about this year was improving from a 4 win season in the BT to 10 Wins and going from 14 wins to 23 wins,

and to a degree recording their 3rd straight 1st round NCAAT Game. oh hey are you enjoying your 1st round win in the NCAAT? OH snap you lost.

Iowa's future is very bright and getting brighter.

one more thing Cook has until April 21st to declare, till then he is still a Hawk.

We don’t brag about 1st round wins.

Michigan gonna suck next season? I didn’t see much out of their back ups.
History says no. And Beilein is still coaching and there is plenty of talent recruited the last couple of years. And prob add a few new pieces before next season.

But........not sure where the offense will come from and (esp) where the shooting will come from. Will be interesting. Still expect a Top 4 or 5 B10 finish.

The Izzo, Beilein, and Painter factor have to be brought up when playing any of those 3 teams. Looking at rosters Maryland probably has more talent than UM or Purdue, but they also have Turge.
Yeah those 3 coaches are the class of the league and their programs are solid and humming and should continue for the forseeable future.

Man, this is going to be a long, but fun silly season. No actual basketball to tak about, so might as well sht on Iowa.

I can foresee taking extended breaks during this one. It’s already getting old.

Agree. It's readily apparent that some people prefer shitposting to actual discussion. I'm down with the occasional shitpost but when it's incessant, it just gets old.

Please provide rankings ala Gil of MSU and UM rosters. You’re acting like Turge is the only one to get 4 star recruits.

He should declare and start paying on that lease. He's obviously been living rent free in your head all year.

when looking at Iowa last season there were just 3 players that could play the 4 & 5 positions in Garza, Kriener and Cook. this in my opinion led to what some called the Matador defense.

picking up 2 quick fouls got you a seat on the bench.

this fall there will be 4 W/O Cook 5 with Cook, with the addition of a pair of RS players. this will allow the players to be more aggressive on guarding the paint. but more important rebounding to cut down on 2nd chance points,

this killed Iowa [defensive rebounds] as of now Cook is coming back this will allow Cook to concentrate on rebounding and block shots. plus he won't need to start at the top of the key when making a move to the basket.

as of now Fran is recruiting a pair of Transfers, 1 Grad and the other a SO that would sit one year then have 2 year left to play.

on HR there is quite a discussion about whether the team would be better if he returned vs if he didn't return. to me if he returns, great if not the team will just have to move on.

YouTube Marshal Yanda Iowa St hit, lol. I can't link it for some reason. He about kills the Iowa st player

I'm on board with putting Iowa at 2nd, they'll have the talent, if Fran doesn't get there this year i don't think he ever will and he'll probably end up getting his walking papers.

I think the talent is 2 but the coaching is 11, so I'd put them about 5th.

I don't think you're understanding. Iowa should be projected at a 2nd place finish at worst. Thats where they should end up, if they don't, they should be blasted for not living up to expectations.

Everybody knows they won't end up there. Probably 6-8th.

he had 2 3rd place finishes with less talent. 2nd is not of reach the upcoming season

note Top 4 if Cook stays, 5-8 if he leaves, anywhere between 2nd and 8th depending on if Fran gets a GT.

We are blasted anyways because of Gil. We can't even have a real discussion about Iowa because of him. We are resorted to massive smack talk.

I do think Iowa can get to 2nd. Michigan has to replace a lot, Purdue does. I think Iowa and Ohio st might jump those two and finish behind MSU who should be the runaway favorite to win the conference. It’ll be fun to see how 2-9 shakes out between the teams below.

Iowa
OSU
Maryland
Michigan
Purdue
Indiana
Illinois
Rutgers
