Mine, by far, is jay’s @FrancisMcCaffery account. The post/like ratio says it all imo
I doubt he makes the tournament again this year. He seems to just chase stars and in general is pretty bad at assembling a roster. I get he's young but so was painter who made the tournament his second year with much less talent.I see him as an upper middle level coach. He is young so hard to exactly pin him down but I don't think the past two years is his ceiling by any means.
Posts like this make it understandable why you can't get a job anywhere else other than McDonalds. Really makes sense now.I doubt he makes the tournament again this year. You guys have like ten forwards on your roster and will be a bad shooting team again next year. I just don't think archie has a high ceiling as a coach. Next year will be another missed tournament and by that point your entire fanbase will be calling for him to be fired.Having a core of these freshman and sophomores is bad huh? Seems to me he is building a roster with the right kind of players for sustained success. It certainly isn't his fault the players that were left over that he has to rely on (hobbled DD and loose Green)
Robert Phinisee
Damezi Anderson
Race Thompson
Jerome Hunter
Trayce Jackson-Davis
Armaan Franklin
Add in Durham, Smith and Brunk as Juniors. I think he is right on track.
Even though last year was a disappointment the team improved from the year before. The progression has to keep going.

The Fort is pretty funny right now. Suggesting Tony Bennet, Jay Wright, and Brad Stevens. None of which would leave their job for a UM one.

I know how much this group loves tiered rankings, so:
Tier 1 - Izzo
Tier 2 - Painter
Tier 3 - Holtmann, Hoiberg, Gard, Miller, Turgeon
Tier 4 - McCaffrey, Pitino, Underwood
Tier 5 - Pikiell, Chambers, Collins
I don't see much chance of us missing the tournament this year. I think we're going to be a tournament team. Not a 3 or 4 seed type, but in the tournament. With Davis assumedly back at full strength and with more conditioning with Brunk, I think we finally have a set of big men who can give us a presence in the post offensively and defensively which will be huge. Add in TJD and we'll have a really solid front court. As for our backcourt, I have high expectations from Phinisee after what I saw last year. I expect a big jump from him. I expect more of the same from Durham. Just a guy who keeps getting better. I also expect him to revert back to his 3pt percentage prior to dislocating his finger toward the end of the season (IIRC it was ~38%). Not sure what to make of Green. We'll need his shooting to continue, which I think it will, and to play more of the two guard instead of the point. That's why Franklin is gonna need to step up this coming season. Hoping Phin, Durham and Franklin can share those responsibilities to keep Green at the two. At the wing, I'm really interested to see if we get Hunter back. Between him, Thompson, Anderson, we should be good there. Need someone in that group to step up and play some defense consistently. Not sure Thompson can guard the three, but I think he may have a chance this year.Trust me it is a valid concern, but IU lost its two worst shooters. They are not going to be a great shooting team but it should be better.
If Archie could go back I am sure he would change some things, one never rerecruiting Clifton Moore and having McKinley Wright IV on the roster who was committed to him at Dayton. Crean left IUs APR a mess, so he had to basically talk players back that wanted to leave after his first year. At first I thought that was a good thing, but I now know it was a bad thing. The core is there it is just very young. Players who are expected to be 3-4 year players. Archie will not be going anywhere after next year unless this season is an absolute disaster. The IU fans who are already upset, which is small minority currently, need to relax and let the process play out. I have said from the get go that year 4 is the year that IU can make a run and continue that success.

Edit: Painter also finished dead last in the B1G with more talent than what IU had last year, sometimes rosters and players do not fit and their isn't a thing the coach can do about it at the time
The “we beat you in sports that don’t matter” award. Look forward to seeing that banner.
When I was going through the list, I used their last two coaching stops for resume-purposes.Is this based solely on their B10 resumes? Izzo and Painter have a pretty big head start on the rest of the group and Tier 5 is probably the three worst jobs in the conference.
I'm sure you are. It's not like y'all have a lot of banners to be proud of...The “we beat you in sports that don’t matter” award. Look forward to seeing that banner.

Did IU swipe that? Congrats. I think we had a nice run (4 of the last 5 years or something like that).
Tom was a very good recruiter he just didn't do as good as he should have with his teams that were loaded. Not sure i agree with this. They only had 3 that played in Justin Smith, Romeo and Rob Phinisee i believe? They fired Tom for a reason.
Shut up Gil. Archie is a significantly better coach than Frantrum. Really not even a question.Tom was a very good recruiter he just didn't do as good as he should have with his teams that were loaded.
Archie has no business in the top 4 tiers, and only outright hatred for Fran is why you refuse to give him any credit,
I don’t personally pay for it, but some on home board do and posted some screenshots. How do you read the fort?
I hope they hire a jackass. Will be easier to hate on them. Always respected Beilein, and am glad to see him go.
He’s not. And, he lead us to a title. It would be great if Michigan can somehow land Billy. Donovan
Msu fans hate him after Teddy Dupay tried to break Mateen's foot in the 2000 title game.
Speaking of Mateen, I believe he is still in some legal limbo with that one hotel incident. Mateen, Walton, Appling. Spartan Dawg point guards.
