The biggest thing that stands out is the lack of respect for the MVC.

Missouri State is an 8 seed, though they were gonna be traveling no matter what. UNI, which won the regular season title outright, has to travel to St. Louis. And the biggest snub is Drake, which finished 24-10 and tied for 2nd with Loyola and Missouri State and lost a tough game against Loyola in the CCG. They also have 2 wins over Loyola and also beat Richmond, the A-10 tourney champs, earlier in the year.

Drake will be the #1 seed in the 16-team CBI tournament.

Missouri State as an 8-seed is cray-cray. Could see them taking out Oklahoma.

And yes, UNI is way better than a 7-seed. They gave Arkansas a very tough battle in Fayetteville. And UNI had a quite a few close losses in the OOC season, which certainly impacted their resume a bit. But, still very capable of beating most top 50 teams.

Same seed in NIT as in ACC tourney. What a great year /s

At least we get to host first round game vs. MSU because they're doing construction on their arena.

Didn't get to watch much how was Franklin this year?

Dog shit. He shot 26.7% from 3. He played solid defense and his midrange game is pretty solid but he did not live up to the hype as a 40+% shooter from 3. We needed that from him BAD.

UNT and A&M got screwed. A case for OU could be made as well.

After the departure of Mike White, Florida could face two teams in their bracket that the UF AD may eventually interview those respective teams' coaches:
- Iona's Rick Pitino
- Dayton's Anthony Grant.

If it comes to nothing, at least Billy Donovan's mentor will see his former pupil's name on the basketball court for which it was named.

Who are you hoping for and what the general consensus amongst UF fans?

Who are you hoping for and what the general consensus amongst UF fans?

While White did a good job at Florida in following a coaching legend,
I would like for Florida to get a veteran coach who has won championships before before like a Drew Miller, Rick Pitino or Jim Belein! Or, someone who runs an offensive system similar to BD (i.e Anthony Grant, Smart). White was too much of a defensive minded coach whose offense seems to falter late in games.

Florida could go for the young, up & coming coach route like
Matt McMahon from Murray St
It worked out well for Alabama - Nate Oats

Or, they could look to the Donovan Coaching tree:
Anthony Grant
(Dayton) <- was one time, the 1st choice to replace BD
Shaka Smart
Rick Pitino jr

Al Pinkins
is the current interim coach who was with Mike White's staff
If Florida has a run in the NIT, Pinkins could be in consideration.

More higher profile candidates:
Rick Pitino (Iona)
Drew Miller (Baylor)
Tony Bennett (Virginia)
Brad Underwood (Illinois)
Jim Belein

Other good candidates:
Jerome Tang (longtime Baylor assistant-head coach)
Archie Miller
Sean Miller
