The first NET rankings have been released by the NCAA. Here are the top 25 schools. Drake coming in at #20. Imagine if they had Liam Robbins? Nice to see Boise State in there, too. Don't think they're top 25 good, but they're super talented, and could see them taking down SDSU for the MWC crown.

As a concerned Clemson basketball fan, this season absolutely needs to be cancelled

Are you wanting to protect Clemson's record? They'll lose some games, for sure. ACC doesn't have any juggernauts, though. They have as good of a shot as anyone at winning the ACC in 2021. Next year, I think the ACC will be more top heavy. Better to cash in now and take your shot.

Not sure how we are even being ranked on anything. We haven't beaten anyone and have two home losses now. We can't hit our free throws and our offense is sporadic. Don't think we even make the tournament if we keep it up.

There really isn't any home court advantage

Best team that day will win
Speaks volumes about Oklahoma State. I told people I thought Oklahoma State was Texas' best win before the Kansas game

I feel they are better than Indiana and UNC

How is Tennessee 3rd after that loss to the filthy bammers?

Always fun to look at but why people get up in arms and take this stuff seriously at this point in the season always baffles me.

If I care at all, its never until mid to late February. Until then it is what it is.

Predictable response when your team checks in at #144. Laughing

IF THE NCAA REALLY LOOKS OUT FOR DUKE AS MUCH AS I’VE HEARD THEY DO, NOW WOULD BE A GREAT TIME FOR THEM TO DO THEIR BID’NESS!

E-Z PAFF

Or, predictable response when I say the same thing every year. Get off your ass and look if you like.

Easy top 15 my man, bc well athletes? Just make the elite 8 and we r cool.

The issue for schools like Tech is the energy has been removed from them because of the lack of crowd.
Don't get me wrong. Even with a small crowd playing in Lubbock isn't easy.
But it is very different than playing with full capacity.

Tech has been able for the most part to win at home the last 3 years.
But this year that may not be the case.

They lack consistent scoring outside of 2-3 players

Honestly they are a joke. Colgate is top 20 with a 1-1 record; a win over Army and a loss to Army. Lol.

They are neither perfect nor useless but it's probably not a good idea to hyperfocus on where it has a team with a 2 game sample size.

Always wondered why everyone ignores that border. I'd watch.
Every Christmas they bring it up on local radio here in Lexington, but in 1984 UK was at Illinois on Christmas Eve. Only game we've ever played on Xmas Eve.

Anyway there was a huge snowstorm at yalls place. The refs couldn't make it. Apparently there was a high school ref and a director of some local association of officials in attendance so the powers that be went up into the stands and asked them to officiate the game.

They were out there in blue jeans and everything 😂 After the game one of the refs went up to Joe B Hall and asked him for his autograph to make matters even more absurd! Lol

My point is, any system that has a team top 20 based on a win and a loss over the same team—a team that isn’t any good to begin with—is a system that probably has some significant flaws.

It’s a system that’s clearly designed to make more sense with a large sample size hence waiting until the third month to release it.

There’s a reason they don’t release it week two. Because a team playing two games is going to be close to useless information.
