***NBA Playoffs: Finals Thread***

Complete garbage. Pacers should’ve been up 2. Pathetic.
Agree, though wasn't so obvious in real time and cannot be reviewed.

I take it you didn't mind the previous possession when it looked like Sabonis knocked it out and it was never reviewed....and want to ignore even if Oladipo scores they run the same play and he might still have made it?

Oh, and the 3 FTs Oladipo was awarded early when he wasn't touched.

I agree they could beat em, even probably should beat em. I mean, it’s literally Bron and that’s it. Love has been garbage.
Love has been a disappointment, but that doesn't mean he cannot play better in another series. They lost, but the guy outplayed Green in the Finals last year.

JR needs to hit some shots, as well......though if he can keep playing D like he has, he'll stay on the court.

They were doomed before it started. NBA=santa/WWE . It was over when they had to play Lebron. If it wasn't a missed goaltending this game it would have been something else in game 6. It's a shame because the NBA is the prettiest brand of basketball out there, but in terms of competition and rooting for certain teams it is pointless.

Put it this way, if this were to happen to Kansas, UK, Indiana, Duke, really any team at the end of an NCAA tournament game to cost them, there would be riots in the streets. Because it's an NBA game and people just believe what they want to believe they just gloss over it. The fact is however you want to spin it, the refs missed a blatant goaltending call at the end of an NBA playoff game likely costing the Pacers the series. If it was the other way around you better believe they would have called it. That's why the NBA cannot be taken serious competitively.
Hard to take you seriously since you ignore the blatant missed call on the prior possession that was reviewable and wasn't.

But I guess that doesn't fit your narrative.

It really wasn't a blatant call. Replays showed that it was goaltending, but real time was inconclusive. If you thought downfall was preordained, why did you even bother to watch the game?
That's how I saw it....I think everyone thought it was a block live. And the play cannot be reviewed.

I'm just saying that if it were the other way around it would be front page news and they would be doing reruns about it all day on ESPN. The refs would be suspended ect.. Because it's just the Pacers vs Lebron it isn't any big deal and it was clearly Oladipo's fault.
do you think if they called the goaltending and Indiana won, the refs would be suspended for the missed call on the previous possession where, if called correctly, the cavs kept the ball? And if they didn't, would you be crying about it like you are this noncall?

So maybe you are a little biased?
Why would that matter? Watch the replay, it doesn't matter which team/player you root for, that was a goaltend. I don't know what what would have happened if they actually made the right call but the goaltend isn't even debatable.

Dude I'm done arguing about this, I've already said I'm not even a Pacers fan, I'm a college basketball fan that likes IU, the fact that Oladipo was involved in the play was the only reason I looked at the replay. I could care less who won, I just want a fairly called game on both sides and you won't find that in the NBA playoffs.

Agree it was a goaltend, but watch it in real time......could you tell it was a goaltend then, which is how they had to call it.

OK, but why don't you care about the more egregious missed call on the previous possession...the one that could have been reviewed and wasn't?

Agree....nice comeback, but guessing a lot of guys could score 45 on 39 shots. Lebron got his 44 on 24 shots by comparison.,
Exactly. Despite Lebron being generally an average jump shooter/ ft shooter per league standards. He is generally one of the most efficient players year in and year out. Lebrons whole knock has always been closing in crunch time.

Yea, anyone who compares LBJ and Westbrick are way off. If LeBron shot 39 times, he'd have close to 60 points. He's crazy efficient, and Russell is crazy inefficient.
Westbrook wasn't crazy inefficient in that Wednesday game. Factoring his 5 3s, he still had a shooting efficiency percentage of well over .500. Lebron's performance was spectacular, but Westbrook's was pretty damn impressive as well.

Threes in the second half were his one bright spot, though. So far in this series.. he’s 10-25, 7-19, 5-17, 7-18, and 17-39 (39 shots for a point guard!?). He will never win a title playing the way he does. I’d rather have 3-4 point guards over him. Not even kidding.

which has always been unfounded, as he makes shots like he did Wednesday at a better rate than MJ.

Let's see it happen in the finals and not worry about the 1st round when it's expected from someone who is clearly superior to his opponent. You know it is Lebron , unless we need to lower the bar for him? Earlier in that 1st round series it looked like we might be seeing Lebron vs Dallas 2011 all over again. Him realizing he doesn't have the horses and essentially mailing it in. He is 33 and Cleveland isn't a trending up roster.

Cavs hitting 3's early. Usually a good sign. Indiana better get the home crowd behind them.

Re-responding to your post because I want to know if you still believe that the Pacers are doomed. Please get back to me with your answer before Game 7 so I can be sure that your answer isn't colored by that outcome.

The way things are now, Utah has a superstar with a good supporting cast and the best home court advantage. Interesting.

Paul George is gone from OKC. Westbrick last night, 18-43 (43!!). He took 19 threes. While Carmelo and Paul George combined to shoot 6! He’s the definition of a ball hog and he will never win a title because other stars don’t want to play with that.

PG13 went 2-16, bro. And Melo sucks.

Yeah, but 2-16 is pretty shitty any way you slice it.
He just had a bad game (and he also got robbed over not having the opportunity to take three free throws to tie up the game). Paul will look great with the Purple & Gold next year.

Definitely wasn’t a good fit. Not sure anyone can be w Russ, which sucks, cause I love his fire.

Yeah, I'm a Lakers fan and for a while Russ was rumored to be LA bound. Glad that that's now off the table. I'm not sure if he's innately unselfish. He seems to get lost in the moment and forget that delegating can have its moments. Truly a physical talent, though.

LeBron is on another level right now. He’s hitting step back 21 footers like he’s in his backyard

I never knew he was undefeated in the first round (12-0) and this is his FIRST Game 7 in the first round. That's impressive, given the amount of times he's been in the playoffs.

When LeBron has that I'm just gonna do it myself mentality, he is so unstoppable. 11-13 with 26 points. Last 4 possessions they put him on the block and he scored easily every time
