***NBA Playoffs: Finals Thread***

I’ll do a bet if the celts beat the Cavs. I know they’re up 2-0 but LeBron James is still LeBron James. But if the Celts play the Warriors, they will steal a game. Mark it.
So you're willing to carry this albatross if Cav's win?

Lebron is currently doing a curtain call for the Cavs. He'll soon abandon Cleveland for another shot.

IDK why some are loyal to him.

Welp!

I was just 2 points off but nailed his rebounds and assists
Great game......but a little too much dribbling out the clock and taking bad shots after quarter 1...or passing late for a rushed shot. Was very much like Harden's 40 Monday.

Unbelievably dirty play by JR Smith. Never push a guy while he’s in the air.
Agree, and agreed with JVG these plays often much more dangerous than when the guy just swings hard for a block and misses and hits the shooter.

You've never seen me play pick up, I'm much better than LeBron.
And until I do, my vote wont change.

He's probably a little better than me. A 6-0 Jewish, white guy without much leaping ability. Not the best dribbler, but a feathery soft lefty outside shot.
Very good - and willing - passer. solid rebounder for lack of jumping ability.

If I wasn't close to 50, I'd say I could pass him, but seems unlikely now.

Yea, not to brag, but I just think I would be a little too big and physical for LBJ. 6'2, 220, 18 inch vertical, white as paper. Seriously every physical tool you could ask a basketball player to have, I've got it and then some. I'm only 25, so look for the name Jimbo to be a household name in basketball very soon.

Any eligibility left? OSU could use you.
I do list myself at 6-2, 225, but if I went to the combine I might find out it's more like 6-0, 185.

I've used my four years plus an extra one :D so unfortunately, no. All seriousness, its scary watching LBJ back down and post up dudes that are twice my size. If basketball didn't work out, LBJ would have been a hell of a football player or MMA fighter.

I have said this and I think you are 100% correct. I'm pretty sure on a 3rd and goal from the 5 you could tell the other team you are throwing him a fade and they couldn't stop it.

6-8, 260ish, quick, fast, strong and can jump out of the stadium against a 6-0 DB?

So, where does Bron end up next year? This Cleveland thing is over. Sadly. :(

I wouldn't be so sure. Certainly possible, and if it is he got my team a title I never thought I saw so I wont blame him.

There is still the real possibility he and his family like their hometown and want to stay.

It would be great if he stays in Cleveland, and with the high pick of the Nets help might be on the way. However, I wouldn't begrudge him if he went elsewhere. A lot of Michael Jordan fluffers dis Lebron for looking at roster options, but that's simply an option that Jordan didn't have when he played. If Jordan had that option and wasn't already surrounded by the 90s Bull's talent, he might well have gone to another team.

spot on. while I was wrong in thinking it was a 10 year deal, MJ was locked into an 8 year deal. Then when it ended there were no max deals to he signed for $30 mil, then $33 mil. No other team could come close to that amount. where was he gonna go.

and I'll tell you what....No secret he didn't like Kraus. I would not be surprised if he would have stuck it to him and left if someone could have paid him close to what the Bulls could like would happen today.

Indeed, it was no secret that Jordan didn't like Kraus. His commonly uttered nickname for Kraus was "crumbs" (Jerry was a little inelegant when munching on pastries), and in his HOF speech, Jordan cruelly mocked Kraus. Jordan has done so many deplorable things without having his beloved image tarnished one bit.

We'll never know, but I believe with today's CBA MJ would have ditched Crumbs...and I absolutely remember that nickname.

Simmons will win it

Mitchell deserved it as a true rookie

Tatum is helping lead his team to a possible NBA finals appearance.

Has the Rookie of the Year Award ever been this competitive?
The closest I can recall to this year was when Magic, Bird, and Bill Cartwright were rookies. I know that it now seems ridiculous to align Cartwright with the other two, but as a rookie Cartwright had a very productive season that might have won him the award in other years.

Anybody else think Harden travels on almost every step back? How is it never called?

Let me guess........Cavs played better because of the players and not Lue. And Celtics faltered because of their players and not Stevens.

And please don't think they won because they played hard. They started hitting their shots early which led to more energy which led to playing harder. They won because they hit their shots.

In all seriousness, I do think the Cs made some mistakes in their gameplan and Stevens even alluded to it during a TO. He mentioned Horford was not getting the ball enough.

In Cleveland, Lue takes the blame for that if something like that happens. I think the players will and should take the blame for the Cs, as I'm sure Stevens does not tell them to play keep away from Horford.
