Crazy game. Kinda hope TOR wins game 7 because I feel like MIA matches up with them better than they do with BOS. Either way, one of the LA teams are winning it all IMO.
Yup. I agree, but I think Boston takes game 7. Either way though, it’s super impressive how Toronto has fought back in this series. I thought it might be a sweep after the first two games.

If the Lakers keep shooting like they have been from the perimeter, then the title is theirs. Too good in the other facets to then also have them nailing 10+ threes.

I think the Lakers win it too. Hoping the Clips can knock them off but I don't trust PG to be consistent enough to help beat LeBron in a 7 game series.

Which was my initial point. Nba players didn’t really have a voice in the 80s and 90s. The shut up and dribble mantra was a very real thing.
Not really----they just chose not to speak...Craig Hodges slammed Jordan and Magic for not speaking out, when ASKED(by the media). Jordan when asked why he didn't speak out duting the 1992 LA Riots:

“When I was playing, my vision – my tunnel vision – was my craft. I was a professional basketball player and tried to do that the best I could. Now I have more time to understand things around me, understand causes, understand issues and commit my voice, my financial support to.”

It had zero to do with the NBA "not allowing it".....What were they gonna do---"silence the dude that polarized the NBA"? Not to mention, athletes then didn't have the platforn that is available toda----Internet, Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram, etc, etc....And lets be honest, the media wasn't exactly beating down the doors to get responses out the Jordans, Magic Johnson's, Mike Tyson's, etc, etc....They were more concerned with their performances, opposed to their thoughts.

Its just a different world today brother, than it was then..

During lebron’s impressive run, I’m willing to bet most years he had teammates that were top 5ish in the eastern conference

Not entirely fair. Playing with one team during your prime like Jordan limits the number on teammates you have. I would say Scottie is as good or better than anyone LeBron played with.

Pippen was as good, or better. Probably better.....But there was Wade.....And Bosh....And Love.....And Kyrie...Jordan never had a big such as Love or Bosh......Or a b/c mate such as Kyrie...I mean MJ and the Bulls were dumping the ball to Will Perdue, Cartwright or Wennington..LBJ was dumping into Love, or Bosh...Or dishing off to Kyrie or DWade...I wish we'd quit pretending LeBron didn't have any talent around him. Dude played with a lot of All-Stars.

Its not Jordan's fault he stuck it out in Chicago.....Winking

Again, that not entirely fair. If Jordan joined another team you would have another team full of teammates to compare. It’s not like LeBron played with Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, and Love all at the same time.

I’m not going to argue that LeBron hasn’t had more help, but just pick one team of his to compare, not every teammate he’s ever had on all the teams he’s been on.

Ok, which one? The one with Love and Kyrie---Or the one with Bosh and Wade?

Team with Kyrie and Love went 7-11 vs GS. A team I'd say that was very comparable to the Bulls...

Or the team with Wade and Bosh...Lost to Dallas 4-2.....Lost to San Antonio 4-1. In between, bet the Spurs 4-3....Thunder 4-1.

So all together with those 4, LeBron led teams were 18-18 in that span...

Jordan/Pippen led teams were 24-11 in 6 NBA Finals....No series went past 6.

Ok, Jordan, while on the Bulls, had teammates make the All-Star game 11 times.

Lebron’s teammates on the Heat were a collective 34 times

The rebuttal will Allen was past his prime. let’s take those out then.

Bosh and Wade combined for 22 AS appearances.

Also, Lebron is currently playing with 7 time all-star Anthony Davis who happens to be a top 10 and maybe top 5 player in the league.

Agreed, LeBron has definitely had more help. Scottie is better than any individual player IMO but LeBron has a plethora of great players.

I wasn’t disagreeing, I was just trying to be fair to LeBron.

I’d put DWade ahead of Pippen. He won a title basically on his own (Shaq was old AF). AD will probably surpass Pippen as well.

Love, Kyrie, Bosh, Allen> than Rodman, Grant, etc

Scottie legit would be considered a top 25 all time player if he played on his own. Dude was unbelievably versatile, athletic, and long.

He would be a terror in today’s game.

Not 34 times while he was playing with them. It’s sort of apples to oranges because guys play so many more years now. Lebron is in like his 17th year. Of course he’s played with more players. Look at damn Vince Carter.

Not to mention Kuzma....All-Rookie first team...Avg. 18ppg last season. Sure-fire All-Star. Even though he has 13 years under his belt, Rajon Rondo is a 4X All-Star. Past his prime? Probably. But he's still productive: 8ppg/5apg.

Neither nor there but AD is in no way a top 5 player. Dude has won like one playoff series as the lead dog on a team.

C'mon, man....He played with Bosh and Wade for 4 years----Both were All-Stars all 4 years.. He played with Love and Kyrie for 3 seasons...Both were All-Stars during that time. Its not like he played with them after they were washed,or before they became All-Stars...

In 7 of his 9 NBA Finals appearances, those dudes were on his team..

Rodman has been romanticized a bit. 1 all-star app while averaging 7, 13, 2. Love has 5 AS app while avg 18,10,3.

Love is the better shooter, scorer, passer. Worm better at boards.

AD is averaging 24 and 12 for his career...26ppg and 9 this year...He avg 31 and 12 vs GS in the playoffs...Then 30/13 vs the Warriors again...Of course he's only won ONE series. Dude was on some bad teams...Then when they got "good", they had to deal with the ****ing Warriors...

You'd be hard pressed to find 5 BETTER players....I mean, what ---LeBron, Giannis, Kawhi.....then who?

Why? I love Rodman...Underrated. But to laugh at calling a 5X All-Star, vs a 2X All-Star,, better, well, is kind of silly. Dennis was a great , great rebounder----and a great defender(7X All Defensive NBA First team 2X DPOY). But he was limited offensively...only once avg over 10ppg(1988). Avg just north of 7ppg for his career. Love is a better scorer(easily), shooter(easily) and passer...18/11/2 aint shabby,bro...Especially vs 7/13/1

Its not as far-fetched as you think.

Kuzma is not a sure fire all star lol. He’s averaging 12/4 at age 25. He also averaged that 12 points on 44 from the field and 31 from 3.

I would be surprised if he ever made an all star team.

LeBron, Giannis, Kawhi, KD, Steph, Luka, Harden all better than Davis IMO. Debatably Dame. He’s good, but what has he done thus far?

The Luka pick might be premature but I don’t think so. Luka averaged almost a triple double this year while leading his team to the playoffs while being the head of the most efficient offense in NBA history.

Because defense matters a lot. Yes, Love is the better shooter. But his defense is so poor, and Rodman’s defense is so excellent, that gap completely negates the scoring edge.

It’s the same reason why Kawhi is a much better player than Harden, even though Harden is a better scorer. It’s the same reason why Lou Williams isn’t considered a top 25 player.

This ^^^.

Lebron, Giannis, Kawhi, Steph, Luka, Jokic, Embiid, and Harden are all better. Dame is arguably in the conversation too. Bam and Jayson Tatum aren’t yet but they are certainly improving rapidly. And KD obviously would be considered better if we knew how he is post Achilles injury.

AD played with New Orleans for 7 years and made the playoffs twice. I don’t care who else is on the team, “top 5” players elevate the level of play to at least make the playoffs more often than not. We’ve seen that happen time and time again. Look at Dame, he’s got Portland to the playoffs like 6 years in a row.

AD has only played more than 68 games in a season twice. Durability is part of being a top 5 player.

Are you a Laker fan or something? Part of the reason they finally started hitting their shots is because Houston is leaving many of them open. The Clippers have the length and overall perimeter defense to keep them from hitting the 3 consistently. Clippers are finally healthy and beginning to gel. I would say it's about s good 65% or better of them beating the Lakers in a 7 game series. It's going to take more than just Lebron and Davis to beat them and they just don't have anyone else consistent enough to do it.

Not a Lakers fan at all. But they were left open from 3 all year long because teams knew they wouldn’t hit them. The last couple games they have.

I’m not saying the Lakers are the clear cut favorites. It’s still unknown if they will keep hitting shots. I’m saying IF they do keep hitting shots then they will be very tough to beat.

Ok, i was just getting the feeling you thought it was a great chance all of a sudden. I mean you are right, if that shot making continued they likely would but the defense will get a lot better when/if they face the Clippers.

I’ll give you Harden and agree that Luka will be better. Not Jokic or Embid, lol.

1. Lebron

2. Giannis

5. Harden
6. Luka
7. AD

At worst, AD is a very arguable 7th best player in the league.

So like I said, not top 5.

Being a top 5 player means you can elevate those around you to a level that most would consider overachieving. AD made the playoffs 2 out of 7 years in New Orleans. He’s not a top 5 player.

You're probably right. He's a top 5 talent, though, if that makes sense. IMO.

Are you autistic or something? I said top 10, and possibly top 5. Right now, you can argue the top 2 are James and Leonard. Top 4 include Steph and KD if healthy. The rest we’ve named haven’t done shit per your standards to warrant a top 5 rating. Giannis just choked against Miami. Harden doesn’t make anyone better and hasn’t been to the finals despite playing with Paul, KD, Westbrook. You had the temerity to say Jokic and Embiid are better. Cmon man.
