NBA Bubble Thread

My opinion when it comes to Lebron/MJ is pretty simple....Lebron went to more Finals because east was weaker. MJ did better in Finals because he played weaker competition.

and, no, does not excuse Mavs loss, as that is an albatross and/or anomaly.
Weaker competition? The first title he ever won came against a team with 3 Hall of Famer's----Magic, Divac and Worthy....Not to mention a "decent" player in Sam Perkins. And AC Green...And Byron Scott.

His second title came against another HOF'er in Clyde Drexler..His sidekicks in Cliff Robinson, Terry Porter, Brian WIlliams and Kevin Duckworth was pretty solid...

3rd title vs another HOF, Charles Barkley...Along with Dan Majerle, Tom Chambers and Kevin JOhnson

Titles in 97 and 98 came vs two more HOF'ers in Malone and Stockton.

So in all, MJ led Bulls teams won their 6 titles vs a combined 8 HOF'ers. Four of the six teams had 62 wins or more...

I mean no, none of those teams were the of the likes of the Golden State Warriors. But thats b/c the Bulls were the Warriors of their time...Only difference between the two: MJ and the Bulls didn't lose.

Love that tweet. Now I'm trying to figure out who all the players are.

OU 3: Trae, Buddy, Blake
Texas 4: Myles Turner, KD, PJ Tucker....would Jaret Allen be #4?
UCLA 4: Westbrook, Lonzo, Jrue. Who's #4? Ryan Anderson?

Duke 6 = Tatum, Kyrie, RJ, Redick, Zion. Who's #6? Seth Curry, Reddish?

Louisville 2 = Mitchel and Harrel
Mitchell, Harrell, Rozier, Damion Lee, Gorgui Dieng.

agreed.....but LBJ has played better teams IN the Finals...especially when he was here.
I agree. But thats b/c well, the Bulls were the Warriors of their time. I mean the Jazz could say, "well if not for one of the best teams ever..............." Only if we could have played the Mavericks or the Thunder....

Works both ways...

LeBron went to 100 straight NBA Finals b/c the East was dog shit then...

During lebron’s impressive run, I’m willing to bet most years he had teammates that were top 5ish in the eastern conference

yes, weaker competition.
Okie, doke....Dude, you are losing----badly. I mean the stat where MJ temmates had a combined 11 All-Star games, to 44 for LeBronda....

I mean, god damn...

Bro, outside of the Warriors, the Cavs played some good, decent teams...Teams really that are no different than the Lakers, Jazz, Sonics, Blazers or Suns...The Warriors are the only team I would concede that was better than who the Bulls played.

Like I said, the Bulls didn't play a team like the Warriors, because they were that team..

Imagine hating on Lebron. Dude shares the goat title imo.
Who is hating on him? I mean, imgine hating on Jordan.....

See how that works?

Shit I think LeBron is easily one of the Top 5 dudes to ever play. He's ****ing fun as hell to watch. A beast. I just don't think hes better than Jordan. Nuttin' to do with "hating". I mean what a childish ass, 5th grade word...Laughing

That 2016 ship the Cavs won against the Warriors is probably one of the more impressive championships in recent history. To come back from 3-1 against the warriors who had the best record of all time is crazy. Plus that cavs team was good but def nothing like the super teams that have been constructed as of late.

I don’t really know anyone who’s hated on Jordan, so no I don’t know how that works. People hate Lebron merely bc he’s Lebron. Dude is a once in a lifetime player.

Sure, buddy....

How about, ummmm, people who think LeBron is better?Winking

Wow...Funniest god damn answer/response I have seen on here in a long, long ****in' time man...

Well done.

Ray Allen not even close to all star level in Miami

Neither was a 37 yr old Tim Duncan, or a 36 yr old Manu Ginobli, or a young up and coming Khawi. He lost to an ancient dinosaur Spurs team with prime All-star Wade and prime All-Star Bosh. And it wasn't even close (4-1). Stop excusing LeBron's failures. I notice his fans (yes you're a fan, youve been slurping him on this site for years so idk why you're trying hard to act as if you don't like the guy) like to make excuses for why he failed as opposed to praising his success. The only title losses he deserves a pass on are Durant's Warriors and the loss with that shitty Cavs team. He, at worst, should be 6-3 in Finals. But im sure you'll make excuses for why he's 3-6 instead.

Maybe because,

A) Jordan doesn't say dumb shit
B) Jordan never proclaimed to be the GOAT
C) Jordan didn't host an hour long TV sitcom, announcing where he was going to play..

Maybe?

Different eras. Even Jordan admitted his rhetoric was suppressed in the 90s. His tune has changed greatly this decade.

I see....Explains things. But not really. I mean is Jordan saying he made a mistake in not calling himself the GOAT...? Or not hosting a TV show, when he was a free agent, to announce his intentions?

MJ's tune has changed on his rhetoric, simply b/c the times are different in terms of society...No argument there. But even then, he's not blabbing stupid, uneducated innuendo, that causes him to called out by his peers, media, writers, AND hell, even your everyday average citizen.

In other words, a lot of the "hate" so to speak, LeBron has brought on himself. And hell, I didn't even mention the lie he told about his house/garage, being vandalized...

He’s been a vocal supporter of BLM.
Meh....But here is what he has said....

I was raised by parents who taught me to love and respect people regardless of their race or background, so I am saddened and frustrated by the divisive rhetoric and racial tensions that seem to be getting worse as of late.

“I know this country is better than that and I can no longer stay silent. We need to find solutions that ensure people of color receive far and equal treatment AND that police officers, who put their lives on the line every day to protect us all, are respected and supported.”

He went onto to say:

Over the past three decades I have seen up close the dedication of the law enforcement officers who protect me and my family. I have the greatest respect for their sacrifice and service.

“I also recognize that for many people of color, their experiences with law enforcement have been different than mine. I have decided to speak out in the hope that we can come together as Americans and through peaceful dialogue and education, achieve constructive change.”

So yes, he supports the cause of BLM...I highly doubt he supports most of their actions---Or actions of those who claim to be a part of BLM. He also supports the police, and though not directly, he indirectly has said---NOT all police officers are bad.

See the difference in how Jordan uses his voice, compared to how LeBron has used his?

He’s been more vocal, but that’s because he said nothing when he played.
Which was my initial point. Nba players didn’t really have a voice in the 80s and 90s. The shut up and dribble mantra was a very real thing.

OG! This second OT has been so exciting. Holy lord Powell! And 1
