NBA Bubble Thread

If the Suns were +200 wouldn't that make them the underdog? and what does the bold have to do with seattle?

wow
Could have misunderstood...Either way, its is irrelevant ...The Bulls were just very, very good. Probably why they were favored....Ya, think? I do know some felt the Sonics were better...Hell, some felt the Suns were better. MJ was just a cold blooded killer.

Exactly what are trying to prove, BTW?

Fair point and Lakers were better then than I remember...but not exactly the mid-80s Lakers. Either way, try and stay focused as you try and find a series the Bulls were not favored and won.

You can keep making comments like the last one but it wont change the fact you have failed to do so as of now. Games do not equal series, my friend (but that was a funny attempt).

Never mind, as mentioned, I never even said he had not won such a series only I cannot recall...seems so far you can't either.
Its funny....You have went from...

Bulls never beat anyone with better talent....,

to.....

Find a series they won when not favored...

Hilarious.

Again, what are trying to prove, here? Are you sucking LBJ's nut sack b/c they came back from 3-1, vs Golden State? If so, that series IMO deserves an asterisk...IMO had Green not been suspended, GS wins the series in 5. But even then, they still had 2 games, to win one, and lost Game 7 at home.

And let us not forget just how damn good Kyrie played....Led the Cavs in scoring in Games 1 and 4, and tied LBJ in Game 5(41).

Anyways....I guess you are trying to prove LBJ's superiority b/c the Cavs won that series? And Since MJ never won an NBA Finals as underdog....?

Cool, I reckon. Until you think of this...

MJ never lost in the Finals....6 for 6....LaBronda is what, 3-8, or 9?

You are getting lost in the percentage and not looking at context. Kerr is a great shooter but he was basically taking set jump shots with no defender on him. To me, an elite shooter has to be able to create his shot or get it off while being defended. Kerr’s % was a by product of being the 4th option.

How many shooters would you take on your team ahead of Kerr if you were a GM? I can think of at least 15. If Kerr was an elite, cant miss shooter, he would have scored more. Much more.

You seem to have a hard time differentiating a skill (making 3 point attempts) from an all around skill set (being able to score and shoot from a variety of ways).

Who y’all got in game 7 tonight?

I’m taking my boy Jamal Murray and Denver

I said Denver in 7 back when the playoffs started...so I guess I’ll stick with it now. Although Spyda has been very good.

We’ll find out tonight lol. But both are elite asf. They’re gonna own the west for years to come. Which other players in their early 20s are putting up those numbers? Shit is wild.

Some guy named Luka.

And for what it’s worth, Freak is less than 2 years older than Mitchell.

Butler had a career high last night.

Where you really notice it is with the role players. Lots of guys shooting above their pay grade in the bubble.

Even CP3 finally had a clutch shooting game in the playoffs.

Shooting in an empty gym is easy for these guys...especially when no is playing defense like the Utah and Denver series.

I think it’s a fair point. Especially in gyms with such shooter friendly sight lines as these.

I wouldn't apply an astersik to the winner (some have said this...not you) as I believe it will be well earned whoever wins.....but cannot disagree the venue could be playing a role as you have said.

for sure, whoever wins this will have earned it. they're all playing in the same conditions. If anything, this will be the hardest title to win since no one has home court advantage. I'm just saying that individually I refuse to compare any stats being put up to stats put up outside the bubble. Empty arenas, no travel fatigue, smaller gyms...those things are MASSIVE when it comes to shooting.

Nice comeback from Utah, but Denver overall looks better tonight. We’ll see what happens.

Crazy. Donovan had wayyyyy too many turnovers. He came alive in the third but damn he blew it down the stretch. Jokic was insane tonight, and Murray was clutch down the stretch. Best series I’ve watched in a min.

OMG Denver deserved to lose that game at the end for being so stupid. What a crazy ending that could've been.

Was kind of comical to see Rodman score. Sometimes he would celebrate, especially in the playoffs, like he was a defensive lineman scoring a touchdown. Savor the rare moments, I guess!
It was....At times he had the look of, "WTF....other times he seemed to have the look of, "I can score when I wanna". TBH, I think Rodman, had he worked on it, could have been a very good offensive weapon. I just think he had no interest in doing so...Dude just wanna to rebound, defend, and pester...

To insinuate that MJ led Bulls teams didn't beat anyone with more talent, is simply not accurate. Overall, the Blazers did....Lakers had an argument...SO did the Suns. Hell, really, all six teams the Bulls beat did...

Lakers were old as dirt. Clyde Drexler and who else exactly? Who on the Suns other than Barkley do we even talk about today? Thunder Dan? Lol. Come on, man. You're so full shit on this one.

When you talk about the bulls never playing anyone with inferior talent as a knock on MJ your basically punishing him for being the GOAT.

Of course the other teams didn’t have the better talent, they didn’t have the best player in the world.

Anyone who needed proof of defense in the playoffs was treated last night. Fantastic game between two guys and teams who busted their asses.

The Eastern conference well ahead of the west from a bracket stand point. Both series will be two games deep before the west picks up again.

Lakers in 6 (Doesn't matter Rockets/Thunder)
Clippers in 6

Bucks in 7
Celtics in 5

Agreed. That was the best series I’ve seen in quite some time. Murray and Mitchell laid it all out on the floor. Two fierce competitors who are also great friends showing love at the end of the game was awesome. Idk how anyone who knows basketball can sit back and watch that game/series and say the defense was bad lol. Me thinks they’re just casuals who can’t grasp how much better the players are in the NBA, and how the spacing, speed, and efficiency of shooting is far superior to any other product in basketball. Anyways, rant over. Amazing series, kudos to Murray and Mitchell. Both have bright futures ahead of them. Can’t wait for the Denver-Clippers series.

Good call.

I got
Lakeshow in 5
Bucks in 6
Celtics in 6
Clippers in 7 (Denver will be gassed but they look driven and capable. Add Harris back into the equation and they’re elite. If it weren’t for Donovan Mitchell, the nugs would’ve won 4-1...he carried them along with Gobert)

seemed simple....Lebron has taken lesser teams who were not favored to win and won and MJ hasn't.

And, yes, also true Lebron lost as a favored team vs. the Mavs and I doubt MJ lets that happen as he would not have cared about Wade's feelings.

really all it has gone from was you not understanding to you not understanding. why don't you tell me again how the Suns - at +200 - were favored in that series

The nutsucking seems to be coming from your mouth. I never even said MJ not better than Lebron....but anything less than Mj is the greatest ever and not close seems to get your panties in a wad. But you be you.

you probably also thought MJ was right to rip Kraus as much as he did even though it's clear Kraus is better at building a team than MJ. Far better.

Thought Conley was going to bury that 3-pointer last night. Good game, good series. Love watching Donovan Mitchell. Fun player. But, I think Denver is a slightly better team. They have a crazy amount of talent. Not sure they'll win it all this year, but I think Denver can be a legitimate contender in the future - especially as Michael Porter improves and carries a larger load.

Reminded me of Kyrie going to the hoop and almost losing the ball in game 7 against GS with a 2 point lead. This was worse as even less time on the clock when Denver got it back.

Mj also had that Pippen fellow as his #2 and he was pretty good. MJ have much success without him? Pippen won 55 witnout MJ.

Granted not best angle from home on TV but sure did look like that shot was going in.

Really is crazy how good these guys are. 99 percent of them can get their own shot and create. Its really not about how bad the defense looks, but how good the offense really is. You have a guard who can operate a pick and roll decently (Mitchell, Murray) they can basically score at will.

I'm with you. Denver has the better team IMO and is set up for some quality future runs with Murray, Jokic, and Porter. Great supporting cast as well.

The Clippers are decently young, so if they stay together, it could hinder Denver quite a bit.

I don't agree that 99% of them can get their own shot. Murray struggles to get his own shot in a 1v1 setting and often gives up the ball rather than even try. He's great coming off a pick, but he can be shut down 1v1. Mitchell is much better in that regard, he can actually blow by people on his own.

Him and Bol Bol developing could make them ridiculously dangerous down the road if they can keep all the pieces together.

Lakers were old as dirt. Clyde Drexler and who else exactly? Who on the Suns other than Barkley do we even talk about today? Thunder Dan? Lol. Come on, man. You're so full shit on this one.
No way you are being serious, right?

Magic was 32....Coming off an NBA MVP the previous year..
Worthy was 30.....
Perkins was 29......
AC Green was 27..
Vlade was 23....
Byron Scott was 29....

You see that as "old as dirt"? Damn near every guy was in their prime...Of their top rotation guys, no one had more than 8 years in the league, other than Magic(11). And like I said, he was coimng off an MVP season.

So you are saying 8 years in the league, equal "old as dirt"?

Clyde Drexler and who else? Did you even watch the NBA then? Ever here of Jerome kersey, Kevin Duckworth, Cliff Robinson, Terry Porter....

Who on the Suns besides Barkley and Marjle? Maybe Tom Chambers....5 time NBA All-Star, and only one of two players to have scored 20,000 points, and not be in the HOF...Also, Kevin Johnson. Averaged over 18ppg for his career...3X NBA All-Star..Cedric Ceballos....averaged 14ppg for his career...NBA All-Star..

I mean, did you even watch basketball in the 90's?

Coach Bud for Milwaukee has garbage rotations. He played 11 guys in game 1 and Giannis has played 36 minutes both games.

To compare, yesterday both Royce O’Neal’s and Joe Ingles played more than 36. 36 is way too low for the MVP. He needs to tighten to that rotation. I think you give the Bucks starters 4 extra minutes each they win today.

Don’t look now but Lu Dort is shitting on Harden on both ends of the court.
