March 28th Sweet 16 Thursday game threads

They do a lot of really dumb things that their talent and athletasism hides. Can't play stupid against well coached teams like Gonzaga.

I mean, FSU's big guy gets himself into foul trouble because he can't figure out how to just Wall up. Brings his arms down every time.

Gonzaga is very well coached. But so is FSU. We play against well coached teams all year long. Seem to beat most of them.

Koumadje was the backup on his high school team. He’s not a 5 star or even a 4 star. He’s been developed and improved a lot, but he will never sniff the NBA.

FSU looked like a team missing two of its top 7 players, both of whom are senior leaders and three point shooters. It happens.

Thought he fouled him. He went into his body.
Like the Central Florida final drive they didn't call ? The problem with CBB is the refs are far too inconsistent, the NBA is mostly pretty spot on.

I don't think you bail them out at the end like that, but this game was weird, both teams shot better from the 3 point line than the Free Throw line. LOL.

Good game, but come on, neither team deserved to win shooting F.T.s like that.

Like my nerves weren’t already shot. Now I gotta sweat this out even more

Also ridiculous that UVA wasn’t the early game

Gotta get those ratings with a west coast team in play.

Feel ya though, good chance I wont remember all of UK's game tomorrow night.

@della my condolences on your loss. Someday Tennessee will get that coveted final four. Atleast you beat ky twice this yr
We had a great year. We kicked y'all's ass twice and won more games this year than ever before. We made a gusty come back that fell short. I had a blast this season. I'm proud of our boys.:)

Yes, Jones fouled the UCF guy driving but that is a much more questionable call than the foul on the 3 point shooter. They let contact driving go pretty consistently. They shouldn't but they do. Looked like a clear foul on the three to me, and I definitely wanted UT to win.

I just see a lot of things that they do that well coached teams don't do.

They settle for threes way too much, they are loose with the ball and their guys are not very strong individually on defense.

I mean, Koumadje has been playing ball long enough to know that you have to wall up with your arms straight in the air, but he brings his arms down every time.

Then he does stupid shit when he's going after rebounds. He's like a bull in a china shop. He's way too important to make those mistakes. When he gets the ball down low, he's phenomenal, but he needs to play smarter.

So because they messed up in another totally separate game, they should intentionally make poor calls in this one? Ok.

It’s either a foul or it’s not, and it was a foul. He hip checked him as he was coming down. Not the most egregious I’ve ever seen, but definitely a foul.

I'm really looking forward to this Oregon v UVA game. I want to see if the ducks can continue their great play. They looked good last Sunday.

It's crazy that the Virginia game will be more uptempo than this one. I'm bored af watching this game.
Compared to the first two games, this one is about as exciting as watching a couple of 3 toed sloth's move around on a tree.

I just rewound it, I don't personally think that's ever a foul, he kicked his leg out, now maybe if he really bumped him you can see it being called, but he kicked his leg out to create contact. Crap of a call to me.

To me, if you kick your leg out the foul should be on you. I think the NBA even had to make a rule to mandate that to stop players from kicking their legs out. Neither team has enough talent to win it all anyway, unless they shoot better from the FT line.

My point is, they won't call that on Duke, UNC or Kentucky, but they call it on Tennessee. So the refs are inconsistent. Wuss call, let em play. The drive to the basket where the ball went out with 4 seconds left had 10 times more contact !! I thought that was a foul.

Good game, but this is why I prefer the NBA. It's just a pet peeve, CBB to inconsistent. I have no skin in the game anyway, I got Virgina going to the Final Four. And my bracket is crap, LOL.
