Yeah, checking out their schedule, I am guessing they will need to win the Valley conf tournament. Interestingly enough, they play Nevada on Nov. 27

You're right - Southern and also Illinois St will make be making a run at the conference as well

Nevada not a Top 10 team?

Don't know anything about who Loyola of Chicago lost but Nevada brings back their best 3 players.
Including All American Jordan Caroline.

They weren't a 7 seed last year.
Don't know much about the MWC this year but Nevada could easily be the #1 team and undefeated going into March.

Caroline and the Martin Brothers are that good .

Weird how when a team makes an unexpected run, they suddenly "wasn't this seed, or that". Nevada's best OOC win last year was................Davidson; excluding their miracle win vs Cincy. And speaking of that. They lose that game---this team is nowhere near the Top 10. But they didn't. SO now suddenly, they're a Top 10 team? I mean play that Cincy game scenario over 10x's, and Cincy wins it 9 times. Just one of those games. Outside of that game, Nevada lost to anyone really worth a dime; TCU and Texas Tech.

Sooooo....They pull a miracle out of their asses vs CIncy. Then get dumped by Loyola the next game. And suddenly, they "really wasn't a 7-seed"? Yeah, actually, they were. Gaudy record compiled in an average conference. They made a nice run to the SW 16. Return their 3 best players. Ok, fine. But IMO, they are not a Top 10 team. ANd TBH, I don't think its really all that close.

Note: They'll probably be a high seed due to an average MWC. They'll be my upset special pick. Just not sold on this team. Good? Yeah. Certainly Top 25. Just not on board with Top 10 or better, good.

It really wasn't unexpected
Nevada was a very high seed until their starting PG went down.
When Drew was injured they struggled a little.

I think you are underestimating the MWC.
Mountain West has always been a good basketball conference. If it wasn't Nevada would have went undefeated last year in the MWC.

Back to last year.
Their run is based on one premise. When Nevada gets hot they will score a lot very quickly. I don't think any team can stop them. Their two victories came against very good defensive teams last year. But at a moments notice they can go on a 15-0 run

McCabe is tiny, looks smaller than 6'0". I wouldn't put too much into the Buffalo game, those three salty seniors will give plenty of teams fits this season.
