at least Duke still seems title capable. KU & UK if the guys return that should itll be KU, UK & Duke back to normal next year.
I can't even bring myself to put "team" and "Kentucky" in the same sentence. Nothing but a bunch of selfish, undisciplined individuals. Meh, I'm just gonna drive this to the bucket and pick up another charge instead of dishing it to that wide open dude... or maybe I'll try a put back when there are 4 defenders around the rim and get that shit jammed down my throat.
Yeah they are but imo that's effort related. There is a pattern in almost every Duke game... Piss poor defense, turnovers, get down big then decide to play hard on both ends of the floor the last 10 minutes. That tells me the ability is there defensively, they just don't do it for anywhere close to 40 minutes.
K has had frosh playing major roles before, but now that he is playing nearly entirely frosh he's learning it's not easy to get them to play defense. It's going to be the same way next year, no matter how ridiculously talented that bunch coming in is. Montgomery should be a big piece because I doubt K wants to rely only on Bolden and DeLaurier inside.
Yeah this team's ceiling is higher than next year's imo. Recruiting titles are neat and everything but need some people to stick around, develop, and lead.
