He’s four years older he should be but guess what, NBA GM’s see something in Sheppard and drafting him ahead of DK for a reason. How bout we take a 14 year old and let him fight a ten year old and let’s see who’s gonna win. DK is good but he wasn’t doing what Sheppard was doing when he was Shepard age. He wasn’t even doing it a a low major until his jr year.
Also can you not understand that Shep is playing on a young rebuilding team and DK is playing on the lakers with Lebum and AD????? Little difference there.
Making excuses is just that making excuses. If Sheppard is too immature for the NBA he should have stayed in school. You can only measure results and Knecht has won and is winning.

Sheppard is a bit undersized in the league to make a real impact. Especially at SG. However, I think he will be a formidable bench player as long as he stays healthy.
Get them in while you can sweetheart, that Sheppard kid is gonna grow up and then the roles just may reverse. Hard to compare two players at different positions but their value to their franchises as the seasons roll on over the years will tell the tale.

My bad, with Knechts size I thought he may play small forward. Nevertheless, Sheppard will come due, he has too much talent not to. UT had clinched the SEC already, but I'm sure it was y'all's superbowl. Since this thread is about Knecht/Sheppard. Knecht scored 40 pts in the game to lead all scorers. Knecht also outperformed Sheppard in Lexington and in the NCAA.
There is nothing subjective in what I have posted, only facts, but I can see why it would be irritating to y'all. So, we can call it even and I'll lay off this thread. We good now?
The 'Superbowl' talk is simply a common cliche' that the losing side resorts to.
As for the NBA....I couldn't give less of a shit. I'm happy that my UK guys make a very nice living there, but I never watch. To me, the NBA is simply unwatchable. Iso ball and ball hogs that shoot damn near every time they touch it just ain't for me.

FWIW, I did watch some of the Arky game and their defense was pretty poor. They would leave wide open 3's open. It almost looked lazy.
Wagner playing 37 minutes and putting up a goose egg was a reminder to me of how Cal will simply continue to play guys too long, despite their lack of production.
That, and still not teaching how to play against a zone.... Arky fans are gonna love that.

As far as Arkansas, I think this is the year when the national media will start to see what's going on with Cal. He’s changed. He refuses to listen to anyone, he refuses to adapt, his priorities are wrong, he's frustrated and he's just gotten really weird. Something is going on with him. He is not the same guy he once was.
This Arkansas team has the pieces, but they are not deep enough and Cal's lost his fast ball, his changeup, his curve and his slider. He’s trying to toss underhand lobs now and this is the wrong season to do that. This could end catastrophically for them.
