If that were true Rick Barnes could be buying this place.

Is alabama decent? I know they lost Sexton, but do they have other formidable players?

Alabama is not decent. Stop spinning it. Today was inexcusable. If we played the final 10 like we played the last 2 maybe we wouldnt have dropped an extremely winnable game.

I don't understand why you're up in arms if you agree they stink.
Just trying to figure out who you were replying to. Nobody said anything about Alabama being good, so there was nothing to spin.

Good to see the OP, one of the most obnoxious of all Rivals posters, get his comeuppance.

Vitale running his mouth about "there should be 6 fouls" again. If your ass can't stay in the game with a 5 foul allotment you shouldn't be in there anyway. The whistle already blows enough as it is. They always say shit like, well the NBA has 6 fouls. Yeah, the NBA also plays 8 minutes longer. "Nobody wants to see Zion on the bench." Then tell him to stop fouling. Laughing

RollLaugh We don't just do it for U of L . . . we'll do it to piss off somebody else before the season is over. Turn into world -beaters, then lose to Miss St. S. Carolina or some shit.

Gonzaga, without Tille, disagree's. And UT beat that Gonzaga team. I don't know how you can say this??? I know----the transitive property is a weak argument. But head to head is not. SO how you can say "Duke is the best team, by a decent margin, is beyond me.

by most all statistical measures thus far through the season, and the good ole eye test, duke is indeed the best team "by a decent margin". i don't get how that's hard to see.

sure one can make an argument that their loss to the zags gives others a chance to claim #1 status in the polls, but i would think most logical followers of basketball should have no problem admitting duke is scary good this year.

they have weaknesses, most particularly shooting, but their many strengths make that weakness very difficult to exploit. they beat a very strong texas tech team by double digits, shooting 15% from 3 and sub 40% overall. if that doesn't make it obvious they are going to be as tough an out as there is, then i'm not sure what other evidence could be put out there to convince someone otherwise.

You using the word "logical", in a post as this, is very, very ironic. Duke is good. Really good. Probably are the best team. But that's not what you arguing. You are calling them "clearly, and by a wide margin", the best team. How you say that when they lost to a really good Gonzaga team, who was without Tille, is beyond me. Its not like GU just scraped by. Duke led once----ONCE----And that was 2-0. After that, GU controlled the next 35 minutes. Leading by as much as 17. And pretty much held a double digit lead the entire second half. Yes Duke made a run, and tied it late. Kudo's to them. That show's how good they can be, and are. But Gonzaga dominated/controlled 30 minutes of that game. WHich well, shows how good they can be. And where down a very good player.

And you want to use the phrase, "logical basketball fan", in a post such as yours?

Really?

they lost...when was the last time a team didn't lose? doesn't mean duke isn't the best by a wide margin. damn it man...pull your head out of your arse.

LMAO....Ok. So now part of your argument is---"Whens the last time a team didn't lose........".???

I'll say this for you----You are diggin' in .

sure i'm using that as part of my argument. mainly because you are using it against them. and who's digging here, really? you seem to deep down know duke is the best team out there. yet, and for whatever reason?, have a lot of trouble agreeing with yourself. hell, you say um is the best, but then have michigan fans contradicting you and feely admitting they think duke is the best.

Soooooooo.....................Still by a wide margin?

Wow, is this a new low for you? 2 starters out, and you had to be that guy.
I would think a team who is clearly the best team...and by a wide margin. COuld beat Syracuse at home, with Zion and RJ. And their 7 other 5*'s. I mean---right?

2 starters, one being the point guard not playing changed the whole game. 40% of your starters, guys you rely on not playing was the difference.

Oh, I agree. But then again, I'm not the one that called Duke the best team in CBB---BY A WIDE MARGIN. I can dig---the best team. But not by a wide margin. If you are the best team, by a wide margin, you win at home versus fringe Top 25 teams----even w/o two starters. What it shows is a place where Duke is vulnerable----Their bench.

I like Duke. I think they are very good. I just don't think they are the best team by a wide margin.
