The data now is actual data based on the court. It’s none of his opinion. It’s just what has happened on the court.

LOL, so earlier when you argued that things have to be based on facts and data, you just meant data that you like as opposed to all data.
The only data he had in the preseason was projections based on last year and the craziest offseason we have ever seen.
Now there is actual data from this year. And the data from this year says Texas and FSU have both been at top 10 level, but a clear step below the top 2.

Statistics are only as good as the data you use...
You can have tons of data but at the end of the day it is what you do use and don't use in your alogrirhim.
This will always be the issue with KenPom and BartTorvik
So if you question how he created his preseason rankings you have to question his rankings now..

I'm really not though, I'm just giving you every opportunity to demonstrate some modicum of expertise to help you back up your claims. All of these models attempt to do the same thing, answer the question of who is the best team. Thankfully, the tournament provides further clarity to answering this question, although that is not entirely objective either. People are still the best judge. And all of the analysts and commentators are giving FSU plenty of credit for their performance that is a better opinion than anything you've offered.

He’s not changing the algorithm mid season. He’s not saying “hmm, this week I will only factor in 2 point shots.”
It’s not a hard concept. In the preseason he plugged in pretend numbers to his algorithm based on his opinion. Now he is plugging in real numbers based on actual games played into the same algorithm.
He developed the alogrirhim whatever way you look at it.

UVA and FSU would finish ahead of Kansas for sure. My guess is UNC would too. Just pound them underneath and they are getting better by the week.
VT, UL, Pitt, and maybe even GT would compete with them in the standings and give them losses.
I am going to give you two parts to this.
UCF according to NET Ranking
The UCF I saw against Houston.
According to the NET they are bad.
According to my eyes that team can play. They have some athletes. The reason why they beat Florida State and played well against Houston
I think as of right now they are a team that has played up to competition and has the athletes to do so
I’ll take FSU to have a higher seed than Texas or Kansas. And advance further.

I think you can pencil Texas into the Elite 8 as of now. The rest depends on who they play

They finish up 28-2 or something with the acc reg season and tourney, yea 4/5 seed for sure 😂

Remember this, FSU goes farther in March than Texas. FSU can play defense. Can Texas guards shoot 50% from 3 every game??? Only way ur doing anything in March.

I have Virgina probably as the 6th or 7th team that has the best odds in making the NCAA Tournament

The weakness of Texas is turnovers.
Teams get high seeds with a single bad loss all the time. The committee treats a single bad loss as an aberration, and that will be especially true in a weird year like this. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
