Can you imagine the backlash if Scheyer doesn't win it with the #1 recruiting class? If he can't do it with that much talent, then IDK if he'll be able to.
Well K only did it once, so I doubt or should I say hope fans give hims some time.
Chris Collins and my brother had the same personal trainer during the summers so they would work out together all the time. same trainer, but different sports as my brother was a hockey player.
How long of a leash will Duke fans give him? If he doesn’t win it all what would determine his time is up?
He gets a minimum of four years, just like K got.
After that, I'd say missing the tournament more than once over a 5 year period would put him on very shaky ground.
As long as he consistently produces top 25 teams, I don't think he has anything to worry about. Given his ability to recruit, I don't believe the transition will be as bad as some are hoping/expecting.
Washington won't be coming back. For sure one and done. Cal is toying with a 4 guard lineup. But Wallace is coming to UK. Cal was recruiting both Lively and Bona and not one or the other. Lively is going to fit in with Duke's style of play more so than he would have at UK. With Bona's motor and shot blocking, he will fit better at UK. Sure we would love to have both, but its not a disaster we didn't pick up Lively. I've never been a member of Rupp's Rafters. Its a shite fest lol.
And I doubt seriously Duke will put a beat down on UK in the CC.

Can I let you in on a little secret? coach K, you know, the head coach at duke, your favorite team, starting with the 2014 class, has raked in far more top end 5* recruits than anyone else in college basketball. So I'll ask you this, was coach K cheating?
I'm very impressed with Sheyer. I mean, as such a young guy, to get the keys to a blue blood program as your first head coaching job is crazy. But then he has hit several home runs on the recruiting trail to show he's ready.
Duke will be must see TV the next few years, it'll be a fun ride either way it goes.
Cal wasn’t caught cheating, learn the facts, or really, you can continue to look foolish for all I care. Camby and Rose were caught cheating, the schools paid the price, but Cal was not charged in either case for a very good reason. This is what happens when you trust your kids and you take the fall for what they did. Cal's reputation took the hit while those dudes carried on.

It's a single elimination NCAAT, probably the most fun way to crown a champion but objectively the worst.
Teams that have multiple top 5 picks/lottery picks with good coaches seem to make the Elite 8 at least a lot.

The NCAA is the worst run orgznization I have seen at any level in the business world. There is nothing like them anywhere ('cept maybe our government, but I digress).
With some schools, they'll find a reason to clear them (UNC), but then there are schools that get slapped way too hard.
I don't agree with what they did to Louisville. No advantage was gained, it was just sick behavior. But UNC gained a huge advantage with that AFAM scandal, they found a way to sweep it under the rug.
As far as the Cal stuff, I get it, he’s easy to hate and quite honestly, I'm not a fan of his, especially right now, but the facts are the facts. Those two seasons were stripped because of bad decisions by two players. If Cal had been charged in either case, I would agree with AFAMU, but he was cleared and the NCAA does NOT like Cal. He pissed a lot of people off in his younger days.
