GOT

Ooooh nice
Even with the second sons, you’d have to think they’d be in deep shit as long as the Golden company doesn’t split. Think that’ll be the key.

Question: Is winter now gone with the death of the Night King? Bc winter would’ve been a big disadvantage while marching an army and attempt a siege. Also wondering if the dog army comes into play on the March north.

But either way they should try to make off to the Eyrie.

The Dornish army is just chillin', too, but I think the showrunners decided they're just not a thing anymore.
Were they attacked when euron’s fleet attacked Yara’s? Or was Yara sailing down there to get the Dornish army?

Finally watched. Great episode. Not sure how many main characters actually survived since we didn’t see all of them afterwards.

Also Dorne army might not be in play since everybody in the royal family is dead or captured, correct? So they are probably in a civil war battle for control of Dorne.

They are probably in a civil war, or directionless, but it would have been nice to get at least a passing mention of what was going on with one of the strongest militaries in Westeros.

Pretty crazy that Arya was able to jump over them without being noticed given how badass those guys were suppose to be.

Did she face-swap with one of them? They kind of made it seem like that with the little head turn of night commander dude (not the night King)

Two dragons evens a lot of odds

They all disintegrate when they die, don't they? No face left to swap.

I think it's more likely that she hid in the tree towards the tail end of the fighting or hid among the Wights.

Yeah agree and Bran should essentially be able to know their every move. Those two things should help.

But I do think Yara went to get the second sons.

Would rather see the second sons bolster their ranks then the possible golden company double cross.

So Bran told Theon he was leaving and he went into whatever type of thing he does, up untill that time, we had not seen the Knight King, but soon as Bran went into his stupor, the Knight King showed up. That has me puzzled.

Also the Knight King and his army were made of ice? So why didn't he melt when the dragon scorched him?

Great episode but a few things seem odd, but it is GOT.

The Night King was there the entire time, he just wasn’t on the front line with his dragon because he was outnumbered 2 to 1. Also he’s not made of ice. The Night King and White Walkers are immune to fire unlike the wights.

Yeah we saw the Night King part the fire in the Hodor episode. I believe a White Walker did it in the Wildling camp as well before Jon killed him.

Also, it would've sucked if the Night King just got smoked by dragonfire.

I will say, if I had a complaint, I think it's disappointing that we ended up knowing so little about the Night King. That and the fact that the living didn't come up with anything good at all for the battle of Winterfell.

The living never come up with anything good at all for death. The NK is like death itself.

Yea still don’t know what the spiral is. I have a theory though. Somebody is going to take his place because Westeros has to have a Night King and the spiral is going to get explained.

Yeah makes perfect sense...except for that time when they baited the Night King into the godswood and killed him.

They were just morons to start the battle.

After the Throne the director's mentioned that the plan was for Dany and Jon to wait up on the mountain until the Night King revealed himself. Once she saw the Dothraki getting stomped, she changed plans and had to help.

What I wondered is why didn't they keep shooting the flaming boulders towards the undead, before sending anyone out there? And once the undead all stopped at the fire-ditches - why didn't the archers just start laying them out with dragonglass arrows?

I had the same questions about the flaming boulders and the dead just standing there.

It's kind of like Walking Dead when they are trying to get thru a fence and the cast just leaving them alone. If they are dead, put them down.

Yeah that made sense to try to wait and then attack the NK when he came into sight, but if they wouldn't have used the dragons, the army of the dead would've swarmed Winterfell in seconds.

Yeah the charging of the Dothraki was terrible, when they could've waited and fired off the trebuchets and catapults and shitloads of arrows for a while while they charged, then had the Dothraki come in from the sides.

I thought we'd at least see some creative plans by the living as opposed to just meeting them in the open and getting wrecked. More fire, more use of dragon glass, something.

Jon doesn't appear to be a quarter of the general that Robb was. Given Robb had more traditional armies and some more advantages.

Yea kind of embarrassing that nobody in Westeros has heard of flanking with your cavalry.

Oh we have highly mobile dothraki on horses. Just send them charging straight into the army of the dead.
