who have Duke and Kentucky taken that are/were transfers? as for the lady Hawks they are going up against the #1 team in the D1 and the game just got started.

I love Beard and think he's a hell of a good coach. However, though he's had two solid seasons, that doesn't mean that he's going to be able to do it year in/out.
Greg Marshall made the FF one year, and had a very good team the following. Yet last year he got knocked out in the 1st round, and this year didn't make the tourney. He's also a very good coach. He had a few years of great success because he struck gold on a few of overlooked recruits. But lately his 3* recruits have looked more like 3* recruits. Recruiting is an inexact science. I mean hell, look at KU. This year's freshmen class had two 5* guys, a 4* guy and a 3* guy with few offers. Our two best freshmen ended up being the 4* guy and the 3* guy.
I think Beard has had success due to A) being an amazing coach, and B) batting a high % on the transfers and guys he's brought in, and them performing at a higher level than their interest level would have suggested. But this isn't guaranteed to always be the case. He'll have to improve recruiting to ensure that he can keep up this level of success on a consistent basis. And it looks like he's started to do that. If he can keep recruiting at that level, then I think he can consistently compete for a league title every year.

I disagree. KU will always be a better job than TT. Pitino made himself household name at UK. soiled it at UL but that's another story, but point being. KU is a destination job.

KU is under investigation. it could be nothing or it could be a big deal, nobody knows.
we can get very close to matching KU, the AD has already said the money is there to keep beard which based on his current contract and what the AD said we have something ready for him to sign after the season in the 5 million dollar range, which is what bill self currently makes. Beard also has a buyout based on his contract and it's double for in conference schools, which is around 8 or 9 million for KU.
so basically KU is going to have to pay an in conference opponent 8 million and then pay Beard 6 to 7 million a year in order to beat TTU and that's if TTU just doesn't match which we could do and have the donors to back that up.
so based on that i think it's unlikely.
now if you factor in the blue blood status, oh yeah it means nothing. especially to a guy like Beard.
