FSU took on West Florida, a top 10-15 D2 team. Noles won 96-56. Trent Forrest looks to be in great control of the offense. Mfiondu Kabengele is improved and will be a huge matchup problem for some teams.
For the newcomers/redshirts, David Nichols (the grad transfer from Albany) displayed a very nice stroke from deep and grabbed several steals. Devin Vassell (true freshman from Atlanta) looks like a steal of a deal for a 3 star. Long as a velociraptor and really explosive. Showcased a high b-ball IQ and went 3-4 from deep. Not too shabby for a 6-5 SG. It’s crazy how a kid can be so overlooked just because he chooses to not play the major AAU circuits.
Really the only downside is Phil Cofer is dealing with a foot injury and will be out 6 weeks or so.

Kentucky just played what looked like my old high school team. Not to impressed. Will this make three out of the last four years Kentucky starts out ranked in the top five but doesn’t finish in the top fifteen of the Ap poll?
I know you're joking but I think Duke could be a tough matchup for UK. They have 3 small forwards who can penetrate and UK has one. UK has 7 bigs while ya'll don't have any though. I bet there ends up being 50 free throws in the game Sick
At the sake of sounding like an idiot later if Duke wins, I really dont see it. UK is going to absolutely dominate the interior and glass. The bigs theyll throw at Duke seems like it should be too much.
Nick Richards and Reid Travis are going to look like All Americans in this game, I think. Think a combined 30+ and 15+ or something.

The guy was dead serious, too, and multiple posters agreed with him. They even had me list what the B1G roster would be and they still said yup Kentucky is better.
Not surprised. Like the uncfan said, someone earlier this week claimed that their squad is comprised of two top 5 teams. The delusion is strong. They'll be good no doubt, but preseason hyperbole has been their m.o. for years.

Nick Richards has the basketball IQ of a rock. I think Travis has a big game but Washington will likely be the one on Zion who will have to play very tough. Duke has their big three that can really drive the ball. UK couldn't stop the drive against a bunch of 5'7 white dudes last night. I think the game is gonna be close and wouldn't be surprised either way.
I mean honestly I don't know why you'd go to a different teams home board and expect actual good posting. There is no home board that is actually rational in regards to their team.

Kentucky is really damn good. What program could have quality players like Travis, Herro, Hagans and Montgomery all coming off the bench? It’s not crazy to say that the second team would probably be a tourney team.
Definitely need to know where the goal posts are in this debate - they move so often.

Could be a long year. Probably best case top 25 team, worst case wrong side of the bubble. We lost 4 senior starters who were all very highly productive players. Current roster is comprised of the best guard in the country and a bunch of unproven and untested guys. We have a senior three point specialist who, sounds like, hung 27 on you, Tyler eiferts brother who is a senior walk on, a junior who transferred from the Ivy League, two sophomores, and 5 freshmen. Need a few guys to emerge as legitimate pieces.
Our problem is going to be the schedule. We will be a lot better in March than we will be in November/December, but our schedule is pretty tough. We could really do some damage to our resume before conference play even starts.
