Does Georgia have a chance today vs. UK?

Crazy that the Dawgs have won two games already and are only in the quarterfinals.

Still three more to go and the competition is getting tougher!

Of course they have a chance. They only lost by 5 earlier in the year to UK, and Vanderbilt is doubtful for the game.

Plus Maten is playing some of his best ball this season recently.

The Vegas spread is only 4.5 UK.

That's not even bringing up the lack of street cred UK has.

Is UGA in the tourney or even on the bubble with a win?

Georgia has a good chance of winning simply because this UK team often does not show up. Plus Vanderbilt is our energy guy and he supposedly will not play today.

I was rooting for Georgia yesterday to win as I was just about ready to puke over the SECN guys rants on how great Michael Porter Junior was. He is the most storied man in college basketball to have scored a total of 12 damned points. I am glad we don't have to hear that any more. But last night during the other games they kept talking about how great he was. GEEZE!

Really curious to see how UK responds to losing Vanderbilt - for who knows how long.

Wouldn’t shock me if Georgia pulled the W, but I would think they’ll have to score a lot more than yesterday to do it.

UGA outplayed UK for much of the game at Rupp, Maten is on fire, and we're coming off a blowout loss to Florida and have lost Vanderbilt again just as he was hitting his stride. Not only does UGA have a chance, I would go so far as to call it a tossup.

Maybe, but the first time they played this year UK won 66-61. Also, in 7 of the last 8 UGA has played the opponent has failed to score 70, most of those games being in the low 60s. I wouldn't expect much of a shootout.

Folks this is not a great UK team; in fact it is not good at all. Florida blowing UK out explained a lot.

This isn't your typical UK team that plays with energy and passion. They can lose to anyone. I still *think* we win but I wouldn't be willing to bet as much as a dollar on that.

Nailed it.

The only game I’ve seen UGA play was the last time they played Auburn, I wasn’t impressed that day.

Houndztooth1 I love you avartar and name.

I once met our hero, Coach Bryant. What a classy man.
Thanks man. I never thought I’d get to witness another Bama coach come anywhere near Bear’s level of success. He was good to both Kentucky and Alabama. What do you think is going to happen at our game today? I was so frustrated the last time UK and Bama played. UK was an offensive rebound machine, it killed Bama’s ability to get any momentum.

Jarred Vanderbilt had a lot to do with that though, and he's not playing today.

Kentucky played very well defensively against us last time too. You could tell Bama was having a really hard time getting to the paint to make shots. I’m not confident at all.

If the Cats can contain Sexton like they did last time I like their chances, but nobody has been able to contain him in the tourney.

Agreed. If this game starts looking like the last game, I’m giving up and going to play golf during the second half. :)

Can't go wrong there! I would probably do the same if it wasn't 40 degrees and cloudy here!
I live in Augusta, Ga. It feels like winter every other day here. Today it’s 67 and sunny though. Once the weather starts getting more consistent I’m going to try to play at least twice a week.

Have you ever gone to watch the Masters? I would pay a large sum of money to play Augusta National.

With this team I never know what to expect.

UK's length really is a bother for a lot of teams; however, some games the freshmen comes out in them. That Florida game was a perfect example of what bad can happen.

And as Kevin said, Vanderbilt is out today. Plus Alabama needs this game really bad.

Donta Hall is out for us today too. That hurts

I’ve been twice the past 3 years, but no I haven’t been able to play it (there are only a handful of local millionaires that are members). I can rent my house out during that week and make 4 or 5 months worth of mortgage payments. It’s a pretty big deal around here.

Nice!! I wish I could do that. I need to move to Augusta! Laughing

UK is something else in the Sec tourney. Nearly unbeatable regardless of how their regular season went.

I expect them to annihilate Tenn too and head into the NCAAs as a 4 seed or higher.
