Championship Classic Prediction Thread - SPREADS OUT - Updated!

Reason why Calipari doesn’t like road games.
Here is how they did with Last years schedule.

Home 16-2
Road 4-6

Lol

But....

Lurk and Kevin are two of the most constant trolls on this board, that’s fine by me, it makes them look silly calling someone else a troll though.

And if you want to add Louisville to the true road game list, Louisville beat Kentucky the last time Kentucky played in the Yum. Calipari knows that he has a higher chance of losing on the road, that’s why he spins it like he wants a tournament atmosphere, when he really wants a better chance of not losing.

On the flip side, Does UK have a better chance winning at Rupp or at a neutral site? More fans can see Neutral site games, more revenue is made for both teams and some of the Neutral game sites are not UK's doing..

You haven't forgot our football and basketball avatar bets have you? :)

I will definitely be paying up on the football bet. Smdh

I don’t think that Calipari is playing neutral games because of the money, football money makes that look like chump change. I think that losing is the main reason for him wanting neutral games, see last years record that is posted above. There’s nothing wrong with that thinking, just own up to it. Last year Kentucky’s first true road game was in early January.

Since you're supremely confident about UK's road woes this seems like an opportunistic time for you to accept a ban bet between us. Advantage you, obviously, since UK plays @ Louisville this year. You game? *Waits to hear excuses*

Interesting. I never would've guessed as bad as UK was last year (lost 4 in a row including 3 road games in one stretch) that they had a better road record than Louisville.

You’re comparing a team of five stars against a team that had an interim coach? Laughing

There's probably some truth to it, especially before December. I won't deny that. But BBN is a little different. It's huge and it gives those away from Rupp to see those games. That has been established. UNC was a home and home. We offered Duke home and home and K reclined. IU, well asshat was their coach and their fans ruined that when their fans were toppling over D. Miller who was laying on the floor. But there is talk of renewing that series. KU we've been playing home and home, and of course UL.

how's your run defense? We have no passing game. Our defense is keeping us in the game.

Our run defense? Ask Georgia Tech about the almost 600 yards they had. Laughing

It was always a negative when K did it. Now that Cal does it its acceptable to BBN. Funny how that works!
I remember a few years ago on this board, it was one of the biggest talking points about Duke. I am certain quite a few UK guys were ragging on K for playing too many neutral site games.

That said, I do kind of wish we would do some home and homes with more programs.

Kansas is not scoring 80 points. Offense has looked horrendous the first two games. I’d be surprised if they score 70. I do think Kansas will have a strong defensive team though. I see that game being a 65-60 type of game.

Duke and Kentucky May be a 90-88 type of game with all the freshman. Don’t see a ton of lock down defense being played in that game.

How? I was serious about Vermont. They were 27-7 last year, played at UK in the first game and lost by 4. I thought they would be solid again but after checking their roster they lost all but 3 guys that logged any decent minutes from last season.

I was being serious since the argument began, but I got labeled as a troll so I decided to claim that you were being one to me.

I think KU can score just fine, especially Lawson, but they've been sloppy with the ball and have given away a bunch of possessions. Guessing they'll be a little more focused vs good teams but it'll probably still be a problem for awhile.

Calipari knows that he has a higher chance of losing on the road

HOLY SHIT! Are you telling us, nay THE WORLD, that a college basketball coach understands the universal truth that teams fare worse on the road than at home or at a neutral venue? Home court advantage is real? F^&* ME! WHO KNEW? Do you think K knows? Is that the secret to his success? Obviously Ole 'Roy doesn't know because he knows nothing about anything (nudge nudge, wink wink). Do you think ESPN will claim to have a wiretap of Sean Miller on the phone discussing said knowledge with a shoe company? I heard at the FBI trial circumstantial evidence of Bill Self knowing about home/road splits was offered to the judge, but the judge excluded it, so maybe he does or doesn't know that Kansas has a higher chance of losing on the road, but he better sit Souza just in case (for road games, of course).

Is that even physically possible? Doesn't one have to be on their feet to be toppled over? And you forgot about us trampling a beauty queen and rolling women and children in the parking lot...:D

^ I read "fans were toppling over D. Miller who was laying on the floor" to be saying that the fans "were toppling over," and not that Darius was toppled by the fans. The context - that Darius "was laying on the floor" - demands this interpretation, and you'd have to be thick to not only miss it but attempt to (incorrectly) call someone out on it.

It was in jest for the most part. And yes, I can be thick at times. Didn't mean to get you emotional, sorry.

Your fans were on their feet toppling over top Miller. I think I left the top out. But either way you knew what I was talking about. Don't act coy. The latter I wouldn't put it past IU fans lol...

Had to look that one up. Pretty interesting reference, although completely unrelated to the anything or anyone.

So, I guess the retort is "Who the fvck are you? (insert unrelated and misspelled thing here)?

Well, that's not nice.:D

BTW, when did I call someone a troll?

Edit: I did a quick search and last time I even typed the word troll was almost a month ago.

Duke wins close.

MSU’s chances are similar to their chances against Michigan in football this year so them winning is very unlikely.

Yet another thread hijacked by the usual suspects turning another thread to a UL/UK circle jerk

KU's 4 guard offense days are over, back to the ultra boring High/Low and defensive grind

KU 70

MSU is always a bit underrated, Izzo will have them prepared for this national showcase

MSU 67

Duke 88

The 3's will be flying, might even be some defense this year as last year embarrassed the ole shoe polish sponsor

UK 70

Once again ESPN and UK nation has done this years collection a disservice, severely overrated and easily the worst of the 4 at this event.
