Can we talk a little bit about LSU?

I realize that Randle was a heavy Kentucky lean all season long but since we know that KU has had agents involved in some shady business, to me that now means that he probably knew of an offer that had Randle willing to change his mind but that Kentucky likely came in to do what it took to retain him. I’ve had inside info on 2 recruits ever and in both cases the KU people really plugged into the program both said the same things I heard as a result of what happened. That doesn’t mean Kentucky will get in trouble, and it’s just anecdotal evidence, but to me that helps confirm my belief that we are all fans of dirty schools.

If this was just about LSU and Wade I would be tucking my tail between my legs as well but it isn't. It's about all of the top programs in the Country making shoe deals and money contracts under the table and Feds want their cut. If there is one thing the Feds don't stand for is being cut out of money they know is exchanging hands and they aren't apart of it.

The NCAA really can't do crap on their own nor do they want to take any cash from their own pockets to do a investigation with. Same deal in FB they just haven't gotten around to getting to them yet.

Rule of thumb, if everyone is doing it and will eventually be caught, don’t be one of the first few to be caught and punished. I’d imagine it’s always worse for those that are.

Admittedly, I’m not as up to date on everything LSU as you are, but I don’t believe I heard Wade deny anything. I believe his statement was something about it not being the entire story. Regardless of what others are doing I just don’t think that’s a good look for now. Maybe it doesn’t look as bad when the full story comes out, so hopefully we’ll see.

You got a link to that? I think you're fabricating that. Wade has been suspended indefinitely. How do you not understand what is happening here? He worked with Adidas to pay Smart. He's done.

Well, if Cal, his assistants or anyone involved with UK, then so be it.

But that doesn't mean I wouldn't tell a couple of LSU fans that their heads are in the sand on this thing.

If Cal and a current UK player were being held out indefinitely because there is wiretap proof, I certainly wouldn't be saying everything is going to be alright, because it certainly wouldn't be.

LSU and Will Wade are in deep shit. Wade might be looking at prison time.

Why does it matter that other schools are involved or that the feds want their cut? What does that have to do with a coach working with Adidas to pay players to come to their university? You're either straw manning right now or you don't understand what is going on.

It's possible and not saying he's not but this is the very beginning of this deal. They aren't listing other schools because they like to see their names on a website. It's far from over and once again Wade has not been charged with anything and neither has LSU. Wade is testifying on the defense of Dawkins who is already in prison. Not sure you really understand what is really happening but they are still very many Coaches that will be in the limelight before this is over. Don't wish it on anyone especially the SEC but get ready because it's coming.

They don't need to be charged by the police to have broken NCAA rules. With all the publicity the NCAA has to investigate this and with Wade on tape he and Smart are gone and every game Smart played in will be vacated. Good bye SEC conference title. Please see Louisville ruling by the NCAA.

Lol I know that's what you want but I just don't see how the NCAA is going to prove sh!t without more evidence and the FBI is not interested in giving it to them.

Can tell you one thing is that I wouldn't want to be the one playing them in the next few weeks because they are piseed and fired up and playing like the team they are capable of. This new Coach may be better than Wade and he called a tremendous game last night. Geaux Tigahs !

Well no duh, of course Wade hasn't been charged with anything. There is a long way to go before that happens.

But do you understand why LSU put him on an indefinite suspension? Do you not see that LSU was given information from either the NCAA or the FBI that proved Wade was caught on wiretaps authorizing paying a player?

Also, the NCAA doesn't "charge" anyone, they just come out with rulings and punishments.

But go ahead and deny deny deny and stick your head in the sand. Wade will never coach at LSU again and smart is most likely done too.

The FBI has already said they are going to cooperate fully with the NCAA.

Again, you don't get it if you think Wade, LSU and Smart are okay because they aren't charged with anything RIGHT NOW.

Bottom line is WW has been recorded authorizing Adidas to pay a player. He isn't charged with anything right now, but proceedings have just started. That dude is in big trouble.

You're in for some really eye opening things because you're denial is clouding your judgement.

So the rest of the LSU players are pissed and are now going to steamroll everyone they play from here on out?

They played and beat a winless Vanderbilt team at home last night. They can be pissed all they want, without Wade and Smart, they are toast.

Your coach is on FBI tapes admitting to paying players. You are almost as stupid as your coach. He is toast and so is LSU. Keep sticking your head in the sand. At least the LSU Athletic Director is smart enough to see the truth.

Apparently Will Wade. He told them "no" to meeting them prior to being suspended.

wiretaps and refusing to meet with AD/President, speaks volumes to where this is headed for him.

the only person that was screaming Randle to KU was Matt Scott and he was dead wrong from the very beginning
he claimed inside info on Randle and he had none
MS built up the hopes of KU fans and then watched them get burned down

I don’t know who that is. What I’m referring to was the rumor that came out about how Randle switched to KU just a couple of days before his announcement. He then switched back to Kentucky the day of or day before. This rumor originated from the Kansas AD side, not the Randle side. Those with close access claimed Self inferred that Kentucky came in with an offer they couldn’t beat.

Again, since we know that Adidas reps close to KU are doing shady stuff the anecdotal evidence above suggests to me that it happens at other places as well. I can’t say 100% that what I heard is true but it was repeated by a very small number of people at KU who are usually very close to the situation and it wasn’t a widespread rumor. I believe there’s atleast some truth to it.
