9 players on the First, Second and Freshman teams.

This is why people tend to laugh at SEC basketball.

9 players on the first team? That’s, umm, unusual.

Bruce Pearl should have won COY IMO.

I thought Cal had one of his better coaching years. Glad he got rewarded for it.

It’s so embarrassing we select so many players.

I’ve never seen any explanation for it, either.

Has any school ever had 3 players on the 1st team?

2010 Kentucky with Wall, Cousins, and Patterson is the only one in recent memory.

I would imagine that the 06/07 UF natty squads did as well.

Didn’t know they played 9 men per team at the same time in the SEC. crowded court.

Listing 9 and 8 is super gay, but the SEC also doesn't have a third team and honorable mention like most major conferences. PAC-12 has a 10-man 1st team, 5-man 2nd, and honorable mention.

@dukedevilz how does those ludicrous notion of 9 1st team all conference folks impact the player draft we did? I mean seriously, I should have just selected a bunch of random SEC players.

Do you know if the voting shows up anywhere? If we can find those results, we could take the top 5 vote-getters. Can't find those results anywhere for some reason. If that's not available, I can always delineate the teams by using Win Shares.

As it was, only 4 of the 9 guys that made the 1st Team were even drafted. Nobody picked up Immanuel Quickley, Nick Richards, Keyontae Johnson, Mason Jones, or Samir Doughty.
