2018-19 College Basketball Draft

D’Marcus Simonds, Georgia St

@WeAreDePaul

Just want to make sure you're aware that postseason accolades are part of the equation. While I believe Mike Daum and D'Marcus Simonds are college superstars, the problem is that mid-majors are rarely awarded with All-American honors. In the past 3 seasons, Jock Landale (St.Mary's), Nigel Williams-Goss (Gonzaga), and Kay Felder (Oakland) were the only All-Americans that played outside one of the Power 6 conferences.

Now, the good thing is that with guys like these you're probably not going to be bombing out. I took Mike Daum in the third round last year. His cumulative score was better than 5 of the 10 first round picks . So odds are, you'll probably be hitting middle of the road with mid-majors. Just want you to be aware of that.

Also, as a reminder, this is a snake draft. So the order is as follow:

Odd Rounds:
1. WojoRising
2. WeAreDePaul
3. ThroughBlue
4. sdsufan10
5. Mgkcbb
6. jwill133
7. jhmossy
8. GE Nole
9. dukedevilz
10. Big_C_KU

Even Rounds:
1. Big_C_KU
2. dukedevilz
3. GE Nole
4. jhmossy
5. jwill133
6. Mgkcbb
7. sdsufan10
8. ThroughBlue
9. WeAreDePaul
10. WojoRising

do you want to make my next picks for me?

Dammit WoJo you got me again. Guy was next on my board and Pritchard was pretty high up there as well.

Someone isn't going to like this pick, but gonna go with next guy up on my board, a guy who is already guaranteed for 7-8 points before the season even starts and could possibly get as many as 14 if he sneaks onto an all American honorable mention list...

CODY MARTIN/ NEVADA

You ****ed me good on that one

Looks like ThroughBlue is going with mid-majors only. I like Elmore a lot, actually. I would have considered him for a 3rd/4th round pick.

I’ll take the best player on one of the best teams this year. He could arguably be ACC DPOY and 1st team All ACC. Plus, UVA will probably get an AA if they dominate the regular season again and they gave it to Guy last year.

DeAndre Hunter, UVA

You’re up @GE Nole

@jhmossy , if Guy was still on the board would you still take Hunter? Guy coming off first team ACC and AA season.

I think hunter’s the better player but Guy will put up better offensive scoring numbers so he’ll probably get the accolades

Shoot, looks like Dukedevils got him. How about Reid Travis? I think he’s still on the board. If he is, I’ll take him.

@dukedevilz is up.
