I already told you, I witnessed it. I enjoyed the benefits myself. Athletes in the triangle hang out with/party with other athletes in the triangle. Particularly if you happen to be a sprinter and most of the football and basketball players want to hook up with your female teammates.
It’s nothing to be ashamed of. It literally happens everywhere. You insisting that Duke doesn’t provide extra benefits is like someone insisting that our cell phones and credit cards aren’t collecting data on us.

He has the money, but he won't be the one that pays it. When it comes down to it why would he care if it comes out that he and his family got improper benefits? He might not like that it makes his family look bad, but it's not worth forking over 10s of millions of his own money for. I think those threats are just to get the benefactors to pay up (Duke and/or Nike) because they don't want anything made public. It def won't be settled for $100 million (or anything close), but it's a nice, crazy number to ask for.
Besides the actual emails I read from UNc employees to each other proving the scandal, I guess not.

Oh, for sure. I'm just more inclined to think that it came through a middle man or a Nike employee, rather than directly from the Duke coaching staff. Duke isn't dumb enough to make a payment that can be traced directly back to the coaches themselves.

It will be kind of funny if Kansas, Duke, and Kentucky all get hammered by the NCAAs in the next year or so... And UNC stands tall, free of any penalties or infractions, having the final laugh in the matter.

Oh yeah, of course. The worst thing a Duke coach probably did was “accidentally” have an extra hundo or two stuck together when they handed out per diem for a two-game road trip.
So are we down to UNC and UK as the only “clean” schools in the nation ~
plus I could swear I read on here that Nike didn’t have to stoop to adidas level of paying players to go to Nike schools because they were so far ahead of Adidas in the sneaker game. But same dude said he thought Miller was paying the AZ recruits out of his own pocket, that Nike was not involved, so I guess I should consider the source lol.
Nike only (admittedly) pays kids to stay on their aau circuit, like that recoups them anything at all, but according to some don’t have to stoop to dirty ole adidas level of paying recruits to go to a sponsored college.
Maybe if nothing else, a few more people will pop their heads out of the sand, and realize this has been going on everywhere with the shoe companies for a long time. If not at least it will reintegrate it wasn’t just an adidas thing.

I mean Bowen got paid by his high school for Christ’s sake. If some high schools are paying players to play for them, there’s not to many dots to connect to conclude most if not all colleges are too.

Yea very true. I just can’t believe that when the adidas dude was talking about getting into bidding wars, he was talking adidas schools vs adidas schools in bidding wars with adidas’s money.
Also after it came out in the text to KP that Nike was paying players on 38/40 aau teams, it didnt make sense to me logically or financially that they wouldn’t do the same to get the kids to Nike colleges, bc that would actually make them money back. Just Keeping them on the Nike aau circuit would not recoup the “investment” they payed the players or families.
personally I think the list would be shorter of the top 50 recruits that didn’t get shoe money than the ones that did.
Shame the fbi achieved their goal of “get pitino” so quickly or no telling what stones would have been unturned across the country. Bc well misery loves company lol.
