UK 2012 and 2013 was somewhat similar to that scenario (not as infamous, but NIT is worse than NCAA), and I'm fine with it.
Villanova fans are the only ones who need to consider this at all
No. I would still take it.Yes why not? Though the answer can be different if you reverse the order of the 2 years. First year national title and next year loss to 16th seed.
IDAF about style. Couldn't care less.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.Nope it’s not even close, you can’t compare the magnitude of 16 over 1 upset in March Madness to an NIT game.
Guy tripped over Diakite in OT and got 2 free throws.I forgot to mention Jerome was fouled before the DD ( and we won the NC ).

Guy fouled Moretti from behind before Hunter knocked the ball out and wasn't called.
They did for sure, those stand out as momentum changers in OT but Texas Tech deserved to lose for letting Culver jack up a bad 3 point shot with the game tied and 5 seconds still left on the clock.I'm sure they never had a call go their way in the game.
Of the Final Four teams, 3 ranked 230th or worse in pace of play. The two finalist----TT and UVA? Red Raiders were 268th---. UVA dead last. Only four of the SW 16 teams were in the Top 100(Duke, UNC, LSU and Gonzaga).Yeah but you watch a lot of B1G basketball every year, Borden. You’re numb to it.

It ain't just the Big 10. I mean shit, IU's pace of play was better than Auburn and UK's. Go even deeper? Only about 15 teams from P5 conference's were in the Top 200. Its just how the game has became.
Yes66-6 (33-3 ACC, 4-1 in ACC tourney)
2 Regular Season ACC Championships (1 co-champ)
1 ACC tourney championship
1 National Championship
1 historic loss to a 16 seed (you have to be the 1st 1 seed to lose to a 16)
What does this have to do with anything?Did IU play in the NCAA tourney this year?
Just wondering. I couldn't remember. What does this have to do with anything?
If the refs had called the foul Auburn would have won. Auburn got shafted twice.I forgot to mention Jerome was fouled before the DD ( and we won the NC ).
Me neither...March was like so 3 weeks ago.Just wondering. I couldn't remember.
Shit yea. Title is a title. Who cares even if you go 0-28 the prior year.

You don’t have to ask this question. Every blueblood has nearly equal losses. UV the last few years has been dreamlike...enjoy it! Great coach, quality program. Well done UV!I'm asking whether the title is enough to offset a historic tournament loss. I could imagine a fan of a blue blood program that has multiple titles saying the historic loss isn't worth it.

PS -,we really beat you.

You seem a bit high maintenance. No you didn’t.
PS - it’s UVA not UV.
Everything else being equal, up-tempo is more exciting, but quality play is quality play. What's that D3 team who was averaging like 140 ppg for a while? Granier? G-something? They were also horribly inefficient, giving up over 100 ppg, and playing .600 basketball at best.Watched the title game with a UVA grad and realized that they have no problem with playing the the slowest basketball since 1929. The style is basically 40 minutes of trolling the other team through slow torture. I could enjoy that.
Adjusted tempo is misleading in reference to how fast a team actually plays offensively. This is the formula used: FGA+TO+(.475xFTA)-OreboundsOf the Final Four teams, 3 ranked 230th or worse in pace of play. The two finalist----TT and UVA? Red Raiders were 268th---. UVA dead last. How can you not? Banners don’t grow on trees...... Duke can go 0-30 every other year as long as we’re hanging a banner in between those seasons.
