ACC thread...

It wasn't shady. The dumbass commentators helped you think that. But he absolutely got hip checked. Not anything malicious, but it was the correct call.
When two players hips touch on a ball in the air it's a foul? Cmon man that was weak. Cooper Flagg himself had 6 more FTs that the entire NCSt team. It's tiring.

It's nice to be able to say that Duke is in a slump, but aren't losing. These are games we have become used to losing over the past decade.
To be honest, Duke is only winning these games (where according to you they are slumping) because their competition blows.

You may say Duke loses these games in other years, I would say they are winning (while playing like garbage), because they are playing midmajor competition night in and night out.

yeah I mean nc state is 9-10. Auburn has had close wins lately but oura were mainly all quad 1 games

Though you are not wrong. You're also not being logical. The competition in previous years had also blown. I mean, they lost to Kentucky this year and that was like losing to midmajor competition.

Haha, still have no idea how UK won that game.

In regards to ACC competition, it has never been as poor as it has been this year, in my opinion. Yes, while the ACC has struggled the past few years and has been trending downward, this year, again in my opinion, is by far the worst I have seen in the ACC in my lifetime.

Duke can afford to play very poorly, and still walkway with double digit wins against almost every team in the conference. While the ACC was awful last year, it wasn't on the level of garbage that it has become this year.

And to be clear, Duke is no doubt a FF/championship contender.

Idk why we tend to lay eggs against NC State. They've beaten us far too many times over the past decade, and mostly with bubble/NIT type teams.

Thought we had a lot of clean looks, we just missed a boatload of open shots. Ball could probably move a little better, though. The Wake Forest game doesn't bother me, as winning on the road is tough. And Wake could easily be a tournament team. This game, however, certainly doesn't leave a good taste. I'd like to see Isaiah Evans get a little more run in games when our offense is struggling.

I saw some duke fans saying their only complaint on scheyer is in regards to how he uses Evans. Looks like scheyer basically told Flagg to take over last night. 5 points in first half. 24 in second half?

Wouldn't be terribly surprising. When everyone is missing wide-open shots, go with the most reliable guy. You can get away with that playing NC State. But, we'll certainly need more guys involved when we play better competition.

This is the ultimate "it doesn't show up in the box score" moment.

Lazy D in the first half. I dont like that in my opinion, they turn it off and then have to turn it on too often. Play consistent and get Maluach more touches in the lane.

Well the guy that was guarding him well got into foul trouble early second half. He a actually fouled out when 9 had his puke moment.

Gotta give it to that #9 kid though. 7-2 I think and he moves like he was 6-10. I wonder if he chunked bc of his minutes? I swear he's in the game 247 (and for good reason). That kid basically gives Duke a second chance on half their misses. He might not get credit for the actual rebound, but he slaps everything back.

I actually think this Duke team is incredibly strong, I just think there are really good players on that team not named Cooper Flagg. The headlines should say DUKE wins again (not Cooper Flagg wins again).

North Carolina vs. Indiana is gonna be a great NIT matchup.
Guards vs bigs in that one.

If UNC can squeeze into the dance, they are the type of team that can be dangerous. Guard play is their strength, and the tournament is usually about guard play.

If you took IU’s front court and put them with Carolina’s guards, they would be unbeatable.

va techs whole athletic department is warmed over dog shit right now. Mike Young is a good coach but his hands are tied behind his back because he has such an atrocious roster. Ben Hammond, Tyler Johnson, and Jaden Schutt would be depth pieces on the majority of teams but those are their starters

You just described 2/3 of the ACC. FSU had to fly commercial out to California for their west coast swing.
