How was South Carolina 21-3 and not ranked?
Looks like weak OOC schedule mixed with 3 recent loses prior to that UK game. How was South Carolina 21-3 and not ranked?
Your stupid is only surpassed by your arrogance. Bert had mentioned his 62 years and 9 years is within that time frame.
Regarding "Blue blood" fans, you need to remember as a fan sitting your ass on the couch, you have earned nothing, you just root for a team. I would imagine more than half of you are just T-shirt fans anyway. I am a UT grad. So, you're really not shit. Try to avoid taking ownership of something you clearly have not earned, it is a bad look.
There were some calls that went against UT that should not been have called. Would you agree with that? It is a yes or no question requiring only a yes or no.
I am not a blame the ref type person, the calls are the calls. Sometimes, it goes your way and others, it does not.
We are #1 and I think that is noteworthy.I don't care where you graduated from. There's a lot of college graduates who claim they're smart and they're not. Fact is your school hasn't done anything note worthy and that couch you been sitting on, you may wanna get a new one because I bet that dent is deep. I'm not worried about how I look to you because you act like Tennessee should be at the big boys table and we all know they're not. You gotta crawl before you learn how to walk and so far you guys haven't mastered that.
I bet he knows about masterbating. Does that count? What would you know about mastering anything
I'm glad you admit that, it makes you more reasonable to talk to you. I will say this, losing 2 pts on a bad call in the beginning of the game on a bad call is still equal to losing 2 pts at the later stages of the game. They are both still two pts.Yes, there were some bad calls both ways, including some against UT. But it's not that simple. There is a big difference in a bad (missed) call and one that changes the outcome of a game. Down 6 with 1:22 to play and Vandy with the ball, there is only one way UT gets back into that game. And that is with some "help".
Only from a numerical standpoint. Perception-wise, issuing a Flagrant foul at the end of the game on a call that 99% of fans disagree with, raises eyebrows. Then putting time on the clock. Then the inbounds spot. Combine all of those at the most crucial point in the game, and well ...losing 2 pts on a bad call in the beginning of the game on a bad call is still equal to losing 2 pts at the later stages of the game.
The game is won or lost from a numerical standpoint, knucklehead.Only from a numerical standpoint. Perception-wise, losing 2 pts at the end of the game on a call that 99% of fans disagree with, raises eyebrows.
I think you know what I meant though. Let's be reasonable. The game is won or lost from a numerical standpoint, knucklehead.

What would you know about mastering anything, little t-shirt fan.
Factual is reasonable, Cat.I think you know what I meant though. Let's be reasonable.
Considering you are trying to gain some unearned respect for accomplishments of a school you never even attended much less contributed to their success, I think it is all I need to muster. You're the arrogant one, not me. I'm just dishing it back to.You being a college grad and that's all you can muster? Sit your ass down somewhere and enjoy being #1 for now. If the unthinkable happens and you make it the final 4 I will have no problems giving you props.
I think you know what I meant though. Let's be reasonable.
Laughing Shut up and stuff another pasty in that pie hole.I'm pretty sure the poster you are trying to reason with has Asperger's.

You have never had one of my empanadas, Hail...Beats the hell out of an empanada

I wasn't offering you one.I'll try one if you can make it taste like a pasty

I doubt you will follow through on your pledge, regardless of how well UT does. The poison you're spewing speaks to the contrary of your claim.
That's dumb. I've never tried a pasty but Hispanic food will always win a taste test vs. something that originated where the whitest white people came from.Beats the hell out of an empanada
[QUOTE="AWilli6995, post: 26893476, member: 5616"]You're reaching when you have to say you have to attend the school you root for. Tell that to the UT fans in eastern TN or to the UK fans in eastern KY and get back with me. Name one fan that has contributed to a teams success? I'll wait. And as for congratulating you guys if you make it the final 4, oh I will do just that. If I can give props to UK, Duke, KU, UVA and others when it's warranted I can do the same for UT and their fans.
Thankfully this isn't last year.Tennessee has never in my 62 years of watching college basketball been ready for March.
Once they get outside the comfortable confines of the SEC they can't do much.
Last year is a good example.
I look forward to the game as well.Makes me no never mind. I call em like I see em. Petty didn't walk, that wasn't a F1, Schofield charged, Bowden or Bone or whoever that was at the end committed a F1 that wasn't called, and after Williams called TO with 3.3 in regulation the ref moved the ball from halfcourt to in front of the bench. Tennessee looks like they're peaking to me. I look forward to the game in Rupp in 3 weeks.

Maybe, the Vandy player shouldn't have dribbled off his foot either and lost possession. Shit happens and it is disingenuous to only point out things that negatively hurt the team you're pulling for. It is called being a homer.
I look forward to the game as well.
Generally speaking calls even out thru out the game. People see late calls as more important but every call including those made early in the game affects the outcome. Sometimes you get a call or two to win a game. But if you are Vandys coach today you arent blaming the refs. That excuse is for fans and losing gamblers.
Thankfully this isn't last year.
History of any program is a poor way to predict any particular current year.
Personally I see some things I still don't like such as relying on one player to win games and playing down to certain opponents. That's the way you get beat in March.
Having said that, Tennessee has about the best squad that I have seen in my 62+ years of watching them. I think they get a number 1 seed and have a better than average chance of making the final four
In the case of the F1 it cost Vandy 4 points. Pretty significant. I can guarantee the UT fans would be singing a different tune if the tables were reversed. Like I said earlier, you can accept a bad ( missed) call but at that stage if the game to misapply the rule is unforgivable. It cost Vandy the game. And I find even like of dislike Vandy. But the fact it’s been a talking point in virtually every sports talk show is pretty telling.

.Finally a UT fan who doesn't come in acting absurd. Stick around.
It costs them 2 points. It was easily a foul either way so would have been 2 instead of 4. They also did not misapply the rule. It is just a bad rule.
.
It cost them 4. They scored on the possession, a possession they shouldn’t have had. And they did misapply the rule. How in the hell you gonna hook and hold a dude in mid air? You can debate the common foul or not, but there was less contact there than when Schofield scored the tying bucket.
They scored 2 points on the possession and 2 on the FTs they would have had anyway. That is a difference of 2. He hooked him while they were on the ground. He continued the hook and hold until he pushed off with that same arm. I think the rule is absurd but it was applied correctly no matter how many Kentucky fans you listen to say otherwise. Every referee and expert and analyst I have heard have said it was the correct application of a bad rule.
I just literally watched the replay and there was never a hook, much less a hold. But you’re entitled to be wrong. As I said, I dont even think there was a common foul; there’s more contact than that on virtually every play. Any way you slice it that one call cost Vanderbilt the game. Up 6, with the ball, 1:22 left.
Saying it wasn't even a foul kind of highlights how little you seem to actually know about the actual play. Maybe you need to watch it again.
Perhaps Brown should not hook, not hold, and not push. But hey, instead of that let us just blame someone else. That is sort of the MO for some fans.

You’re right. Williams should have had 30 free throws. I am amazed he managed to get through that game with the way the officials targeted him.
