Will Tenn be #1 in the new AP poll

I will take the win. And I will admit Vandy should have won the game. I was torn because the Nesmith kid for Vandy is a Charleston guy. Was hoping he would do well but a comfortable Vol win. He did well and the win was NOT comfortable.

I will prove I've donated the money to the charity of your choosing. Show us the bet.

No. Send it to my paypal account. What is the different to you? You are out $100 either way and I just lost a couple of dollars on a dumb bet.

Better yet, let us just do an avatar bet since we both know you aren't doing the $100. You wear a UNC avatar for a week.

Escaped with the help of some well-trained zebras.
Well, that is the UK way, start blaming Refs...

That was a gut wrenching game!

You have the opportunity to feed an Ethiopian village ...

Williams willed Tennessee to Victory. he was amazing, the rest of them, not so much.

Yeah, the rest of the team struggled. Williams was great and they had some fortune on some calls. Still, a win is a win for them. I still think they are clearly one of the best teams in the country. Road games are tough.

I figured as much.
My last comment on the matter ...

I will pay $100 to the charity of your choice if you can show us your bet on this game. If you fail to do so, I'll just assume you lied about it. I'm sure others will too, since it's such a simple thing to prove. Ball is in your court. No need to respond unless you post the screenshot.

Playing too many close games of late. Long season and I personally don't care whether they lose a couple of games as long as they are ready in March.

You don't get to dictate the terms to me. You never have had that right. I feel like everyone, including you, understand I'm not lying. I don't really know why you or anyone would care though. Honestly, don't think anyone else does. It's really weird. It is very much like someone else who used to be sort of consumed with me on a personal level though.

This is a weak copout by you but expected. All you have to do is wear an avatar for a weak. Hell, you can wear a UNC avatar for 5 posts on this board. Five, man! That's it. I've taken both screenshots already. Just 5 times. Because you are unwilling to do it you are giving your 'last word' so you can bow out and shut up, which is a good idea for you here, but act like you won. Weak, man.

You guys will probably start off in the double bonus.
Will UK players being wearing masks for our match up? I know they take the balls out of the ref's whistles when they try to call fouls on UK in Rupp.

Sounds like you are crying already

Makes me no never mind. I call em like I see em. Petty didn't walk, that wasn't a F1, Schofield charged, Bowden or Bone or whoever that was at the end committed a F1 that wasn't called, and after Williams called TO with 3.3 in regulation the ref moved the ball from halfcourt to in front of the bench. Tennessee looks like they're peaking to me. I look forward to the game in Rupp in 3 weeks.

What does that even mean? Are you talking about the "pea" in a whistle? They haven't used a whistle with a "pea" in it for 20 years...Laughing

It appears, you are a whistle expert, thanks for bringing your whistle knowledge to the board. Do you work at a whistle factory, are you in QA and an inspector, is that the reason for the thick glasses?
Whistle technology not withstanding, my point of UK getting friendly calls at Rupp, still stands:D.

Tennessee has never in my 62 years of watching college basketball been ready for March.

Once they get outside the comfortable confines of the SEC they can't do much.

Last year is a good example.

Bert, you may have picked up senility in those 62 years. In UT's elite 8 run, they barely even got into the Tourney and played their best basketball of the year while they were there.

Finally, you would have to go back to the 1920's to match UT's 17-1 start, so your 62 years comes up a little short. This is uncharted territory, who knows where it will go, but I'm enjoying the ride.:)

If I was a voter I would drop UT out of the #1 spot based on last night assuming Duke plays well the rest of the week. As a neutral fan, the ending of regulation left a very sour taste in my mouth.

That Elite 8 you mentioned was 9 years ago. Since then you haven’t done anything. Try doing something before you guys start bumping your gums because when you lose it’s going to be bad. The blue blood fans on here can do that. Others not so much.

Your stupid is only surpassed by your arrogance. Bert had mentioned his 62 years and 9 years is within that time frame.

Regarding "Blue blood" fans, you need to remember as a fan sitting your ass on the couch, you have earned nothing, you just root for a team. I would imagine more than half of you are just T-shirt fans anyway. I am a UT grad. So, you're really not shit. Try to avoid taking ownership of something you clearly have not earned, it is a bad look.

Dear Della, I am not senile.

Why insult people? You don't win arguments with insults but with logic and wit.

When was Tennessee elite 8 run? Non-UT fans don't remember some obscure year when UT got to the elite eight (I suppose that was the only time they have ever got that far).

Last year Tennessee won the SEC (tied with Auburn) and what did they do? They lost to paltry Kentucky in the SEC Tourney. Then the biased NCAA gave them a high seed and Tennessee bombed out by only making the sweet sixteen. So even last year with the great coach they did not live up to their seeding in the NCAA.

But this year, with the same players and coach, they are going to right the ship and whup ass. I tend to be a little realistic with my expectations with SEC teams. Most of the time they suck in the NCAA.

The win last night was a gift. UT got every break in the game and they were on the road. I sure hope that UK gets 50% more free throws at Nashville next week like Tennessee did. It never happens that way for UK. On the road last night UT got 10 more free throws than UK got at home. Vandy at home got 11 more fouls called against them than Mississippi got called on them at Kentucky.

Tennessee at Vanderbilt
UT free throws 29-32 UT fouls 20
Vandy free throws 13-21 Vandy fouls 29

Mississippi State at Kentucky
UK free throws 16-22 UK fouls 17
Miss St free throws 14-18 Miss St fouls 18

Not a whistle expert, I just try to make sure when I post something I know what I’m talking about. You should try it. And last night in Nashville wasn’t a case of “friendly calls” it was robbery. It’s normal for the home team to get the benefit of a 50/50 call, but it’s not normal for one visiting player to shoot more free throws than the entire home team.

Bert, you don't win arguments with exaggeration either. I only said, "you may" be getting senile, not you were. As some one pointed out, 9 years ago UT played well in the tourney after a lack luster under performing season. So, that was tit for tat.:)

UT came from predicted 13/14 in the conference to beat UK 2/3 and own them at Rupp. How were y'all expected to finish the regular season? Anywho, will you call UK "paltry' again and more often? It is fun to hear it from a UK fan.:)

I'll not deny that UT didn't play well against Vandy, but shit happens. A win is still a win and so we march on.

There were some calls that went against UT that should not been have called. Would you agree with that? It is a yes or no question requiring only a yes or no.

I am not a blame the ref type person, the calls are the calls. Sometimes, it goes your way and others, it does not.
