You might be right. Goodman didn't provide a whole lot of context. I took it as any player of a program that loses its coach, can be immediately available to play at another school. But perhaps he just meant for those who were already enrolled in summer school as an incoming freshmen, ala Beverly, and then the coach departs.... But I will say it seems the NCAA is being much, much more lenient. Look at the transfer list from a year ago, I'd guesstimate that 85-90% of the transfers were immediately eligible.
