TV/video games/movies off season thread

I enjoyed the second season of Squid Games 2. I wasn't a fan of how it ended, but knowing that Seasons 2 and 3 were written and filmed at the same time helps. The third and final season is already in post-production and will be out in 2025 instead of another three years.

Bought a Steamdeck, should be arriving today. After doing some research really seems a perfect handheld.

This was my take on it as well. As a stand alone season, Season 2 was pretty meh. I still liked it but the ending sucked. Lots of loose ends to be tied up in Season 3.

I love Silo so much. Season 2 was dragging for a bit but this latest episode really was spectacular TV. I already know I’m going to hate the S2 finale cliffhanger lol

agree. It was dragging in the sense that the story didn't seem to be moving along to far, but even when that was going on it was still very entertaining. Didn't watch this week's yet, but fired up to do it tonight or this weekend.

I just finished 3 Body Problem, which I really liked.

Speaking of South Korean stuff, although I haven't seen Squid Games yet, I started watching Sweet Home and really like it so far. May keep going down the SK horror series route when I'm done with it.

The South Korean zombie All of Us Are Dead is really good and on Netflix. Kingdom is really good too for SOuth Korean zombie fare.

Yeah, All of Us Are Dead is the next on my list actually. I already liked some old South Korean horror movies like The Wailing and Train to Busan and Oldboy (the original) so I guess it should be no surprise I would like their series as well.

What about Alive? Have you seen that movie?

I think I might've seen it. Is it about a nerdy guy stuck in a high rise during zombie outbreak? If yes I think I saw it but not sure. And I seem to recall liking it.

Let me know what you think, I'd never heard of them before and my kid is a big PC gamer so this could be a future Christmas/birthday present.

Silo season 2 finale and Severance season 2 premiere tonight!!!

Silo season 2 finale and Severance season 2 premiere tonight!!!

loved the finale to Silo. Cliffhanger as expected, but then the bonus scene makes me wonder how they will handle season 3.

I read the books 1000 years ago so I don't remember exactly how far the story goes in book 1, but book 2 all takes place when the Silo's first opened up I think book 3 goes back to the story from book 1. The bonus scene tells me they are going to start doing the stuff from book 2, but I refuse to believe they will totally abandon the current storyline in the process like the books do. I would guess that from now on the story is going to flip between the founding of the Silo and what is happening right now with Juliette returning.

I haven’t read the books but they said Season 2 was the end of the first book.

it will be very interesting to see how they do the next season. I can't seem them totally skipping the current time line and going full prequal like the book does. They can't just leave that cliffhanger out there. I'm guessing they do a mix of timelines for the next season. The prequal stuff is really interesting from the very little I remember about the books.

So if book 1 took 2 seasons we can expect 4 more seasons if they follow the same routine for the next two books.

I started re-reading the first book last year, but then got distracted and didn't finish it. I'll pick it up again and finish it now that book 1 is done on the show.

Pretty sure it’s confirmed that it’ll only be 4 seasons. However, Juliette will still be a big part of Season 3 suggesting it won’t be a full prequel season.

Black Mirror did a number on me I guess. I compare shows like Severance to it. It after watching S02E02, I...I'm enjoying it.
