TV/video games/movies off season thread

Should be fun. Apatow on Carlin? Yep, I'll watch that:)

On another note, the reviews for the new Dr. Strange movie are saying Marvel really took the "horror" thing seriously, and that it might be VERY inappropriate for younger kids. Buckets of blood, gruesome injuries, burst eyeballs, zombies... Sam Rami is a horror guy, through and through...

He also directed the best Spiderman movies of all time. Tobey FTW

The last one that came out is my favorite by far.
It's between that one and Homecoming for me. I have to rewatch the last one before I can decide.

I recently rewatched the Mysterio one and, although I enjoyed it the first time, I liked it a lot more on the second viewing.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Tobey ones, but Holland really knocked it out of the park. That first one in the series was an AMAZING reimagination of the original story.

Holy fvck this board is full of communists. Andrew is funny but a terrible actor and Tom is a bitch. Tobey is legit and the only reason the last movie was great (which it was) was because Tobey was in it.

comrade, you french kiss your sister with that mouth?

Nothing against Tobey, but the 3rd movie knocked him down several pegs. And even the first two, while good, don't hold a candle to Homecoming and Far From Home. Not to mention Civil War and the last two Avengers movies. Holland was great in all 3 of those as well.

Spit Tobey's dick out of your mouth.

I liked them all but Far from Home was really good. Just for what they did with all three and their nemesis'.

I don't know if any of you have watched "Into the Spiderverse", an anmiated movie that is as good or better than the movies, but Far from home reminded me a lot of it, but better.

I'm liking "We own this CIty".

Sorry if it was already brought up.

HBO Mx show about Baltimore, maybe a little knock off of the Wire. Pretty sure I caught @bMORE607 in the background.

Baltimore songs suck.

I can't say much.

Just kidding. Baltimore boys are soft. Would love to kick their ass in neighborhood battle of kickball.

haven't watched it yet, same guy that created the wire did it and it seems he used a lot of the same actors.
I read that too, but honestly, with age of actors, its hard to notice. Good show, check it out.

If you enjoyed the wire, same guys did a fantastic show about the invasion of Iraq called Generation Kill, based on the experiences of a Rolling Stone journalist embedded with 1st marine recon. Awesome show. Only six episodes.

I've still never got around to Band of Brothers.

I heard it was pretty good. How many times have you watched it?

Never watched Schindler's list, Braveheart, Saving Ryan's Privates either.

Yet my wife and I have never lost a game of Scene it or any other pop culture trivia game.

*last one we played came down the a final question about a video game with ostriches.

"Joust". boom won. Other couple was like "how tf did you know that?" 80's baby. Been a nerd before they were born.

My wife had neve seen Saving Private Ryan either. We watched it this weekend. She tapped out after the DDay beach landing opening scene. Said it was too intense for her. But now I can tell her she is at least less of a pvssy than you.

Seriously, how are you a man and you've never seen Saving Private Ryan? I considered you a cool dude, but now I just think you've been catfishing the board this entire time.

And whoever told you Band of Brothers was "pretty good" deserves to be punched in the mouth.

You don't need to see Schindlers List.

My boys and I love watching all the old ones. Have to censor some of it as they are only 12 and 9. Also, I thought the new movie was pretty great, though a bit too much ween. Oh well, we laughed our asses off at that one too. Excited for a new show. Boys will be pumped.
Saving Private Ryan is so good, when I saw it in the 90s it sent me on a 10-15 year crusade to learn everything I possibly could about WW2. The movie was that good that it made me want to spend over a decade reading countless books and watchign countless movies and TV shows about that war.

I'm sold. Will watch today. It'll be in clips but will watch by the time I get off.
