The Big Ten - ACC Challenge lineups are set

Fran is an intimidator/enforcer on the sideline. His presence alone scares other teams into underperforming. Guaranteed 1 seed next year, book it.
he's no worse at intimidating on the court torward the refs than Izzo. the new Illinois coach is just has vocal as Fran and can draw a T just as fast if not faster, plus he can never get close to the level of Bob Knight. even ex Purdue coach Keady had a major antic where he would slam his coat and then his tie to floor while throwing a temper tantrum. both of those coaches make Fran look like a Choir boy in comparison.

you just focus on Fran and ignore the other coaches on court rants.

Fran just hired a former HC that started out as a assistant coach for ND, his 1st HC gig was a D1 Team that he guided to the NCAAT. then his 2nd HC gig he guided to the NCAAT, he did that with defense as his defenses were always in the top 20.

combine his coaching defense and Fran's offensive coaching they will make a serious combination, defense has been a problem the last couple years. but when you look at it even though the were last in the BT in adj Defense they still finished in 6th place ahead of 6 BT teams that all were better than Iowa. its taken Fran 9 seasons to put together a 2 deep at each positions going into a season.

this team is/was built for the long haul and not to be a 1 year hit. the higher ranked players are FR, SO and JR's, Fran has put this team into a position to compete for the BT Championship and going to at least to the 2nd weekend on a constant basis.

Dr. Tom was 9-0 in the 1st round but only made it out of the 1st weekend 3 times, a Elite 8 and 2 sweet 16's in 13 seasons.

last season most of you were predicting Iowa to finish at worst last and 10th at best with another losing record and yet last season was Fran 2nd best season, the best was a 25 win season which is the 2nd best win total in Iowa's history,
as for those idiots on HR and Hawkeyenation is they keep bitchingabout there being to many White Players on this team, they want nothing but Black players on the team. so screw them and their bigoted views

How long until fran intimidates his way to Iowa's first national championship?

Miami should be better next season. Not positive they'll be a tournament team, but at least NIT. Kameron McGusty (Oklahoma) and Keith Stone (Florida) will be eligible. Deng Gak should be back from injury. Lykes and Vasiljevic, double-digit scorers in the backcourt, both return. And they're also bringing in a couple of 4-star recruits.
Pay the toothless idiot out wandering around no mind. Thanks for the rundown. Looking forward to it!

why? a serious why? this years team has W/O Jordan has these for starters
using ESPN has a referrence
PG 4* 6'0 FR Toussaint NYCHOOPS rates him the @1 pg instate and #2 overall
SG 4* 6'5 Top 100 RSSO Connor
SF 4* 6'6 Top 100 SO Wieskamp [#42 overall by Rivals] just named to Jerry West watch list
F/C 4* 6'11 Top 100 JR Garza
F/C 3* 7'0 RSSO Nunge
off the bench
F 4* 6'8 Top 100 FR Patrick

that's 4 top 100 players and 1 4* player graded a 81 by ESPN just outside their top 100, that's the most talent that has been on any Iowa team since Lute's FF team that was before the star ranking were not being used.

Connor should stick to baseball. He’s not very good at basketball.

yeah as a FR all he did was have 102 assists 2nd on the team, 23 steals, 3 blocks, shooting 36.1% fg%, 75.3% from the FTL, went 1-16 thru the 1st 24 games then finished 5-13 from 3.

yeah I can see just how terrible Connor was as the Backup to Jordan, Connor also suffered a concussion about a 3rd of the way thru the season. and no FR ever improves, so yeah Connor is a lousy BB player.

36% FG isn’t good.

nobody expected him to be a major scorer. most expected him to do what he did. backup Jordan at the PG spot by getting assist and improve the defense and that's exactly what he did.

this upcoming season the scoring, assists and defense expectation will get bigger. as a SR in HS he shot 45% from and over 84% from the FTL and I expect him to be as good if not better on defense,

@6'5 he can and did handle physical pounding of the BT play as did Wieskamp.

like I said FR can never improve year over year according to you or should I say Iowa players never get better year over year.

Who cares what he shot from the field as a high school senior. 45% isn’t amazing anyways. He was really inefficient last year in college. That’s what matters.

he started the season 1-16 and finished the season 5-13 from 3

and I like his 102 assists and 23 steals. these are/were the most important stats as the backup to Jordan.

Since Iowa is finally stacked with talent this year according to you...WHEN the team does its yearly implosion will you finally admit that Fran sucks as a coach?

Oh, he’s going to use the Jesus Bohannon injury as the excuse when the implosion inevitably happens.

It’s kind of ironic you made this reply to an IU fan. Pretty sure more than a couple of IU fans here wore that one out last season. To be fair Purdue fans have their own history with the injury excuse.

Huge difference between knowing about an injury and still acting like your team is still a world beater.....vs....thinking your team can be a really good team BEFORE half of your scholarship players end up injured and missing games!

You already knew this, but unfortunately, those facts didn't help your agenda.
