A month ago I would call this a blood bath. What I like about us is we don’t come out hoping to compete, but expected to with our play recently. If you beat us we will drop 15 spots, but if you lose you will probably stay number 1. That’s what happens when you face a blueblood

But no, reg season is absolutely more important.
For some reason the SEC gives its championship to the reg season winner, but the auto bid goes to SECT winner. I guess it increases the potential number of invites we get? In my lifetime the Marshall Henderson Ole Miss team and the Georgia squad with Dennis Felton are the only two beneficiaries of winning the SECT to get in. On the off chance Kentucky doesnt win the SECT via some form of whore magic, the eventual winner has always been a team who was firmly in and nowhere close to bubble status IIRC.
