Always amazing watching teams who constantly find ways to lose games. In the Big 12 Baylor has been that way for years under Drew. Texas has become that way under Shaka Smart. Up 2, 3, maybe even 4 possessions entering the final minute or 2. You just know they're going to give up the lead and lose or go to OT.

Texas blew it for sure but that last foul call on Bamba was terrible. Despite their poor FT shooting they got screwed.

I've never been a Shaka guy though. A lot of UNC fans want him when Roy is gone. No thanks.

I was going to say this Syracuse team finds ways to lose games, but really I think they just don't know that the objective is to win the game. If somebody just sat them down and told them they're supposed to try to score more than their opponent, I think they could find a way to do it.

Could have gone either way imo. Evans created the contact. He always drives and creates the contact. Frank Mason was so good at it too. Bamba brought his arms down though. Idk if that would have mattered since Tech was the home team and any contact was going to draw a whistle.

Bamba didn't bring them down. The force of Evans jumping into his chest because he was D'd up knocked them down. Even then his arms never touched him. You could see that on the replay. I don't think you just excuse that. That is an official making a terrible call that cost a team a game. You basically punish one guy for playing good D and reward the other for getting D'd up.

I was pulling for Tech all the way until that play.

True. To me it was probably a no call but I've seen that go either way. The calls Tech was getting down the stretch and OT. It was obvious the refs were going to call the smallest contact a foul on Texas.

Because of the force Of Evans slamming into his chest. Plus, the arms never made contact. I mean, it was a bad call. Happens but it wasn’t the right call.
i'll agree that refs were makin shitty calls all nite -
both ways -

wreck em!

Apparently, Texas missed the memo - when they pulled one out @ Hilton in OT earlier in the year. :rolleyes:That game along with the OT loss @ Okla. State are the difference in Iowa State currently being 3-6 instead of 5-4 in Conference play.

Baylor and Texas. And it isn't even close. And it's the same at home or on the road.

Yeah, poor LaChance choked twice this year against UK, lol.
I feel bad for that dude, man. He hits just one, and Vandy probably wins at Rupp. Missing those three at home was bad. But clanking the front end at Rupp was much, much worse. He hits one, and in all likelihood, they win. Hits both and it's certain.

Saw on Twitter he is like 92% on the year from the line against every non UK team. 0-5 against UK. Unreal.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I heard the announcers say he hadn't missed a FT since the three he missed at home against us. Rough couple of trips to the line against us.

There were UK fans that wanted Shaka at one point too. He really hasn't done much outside of one tourney run.
