Yes my opinion is that teams earn seeds with their resumes, not names on their roster.
It’s useful when discussing if that would have been the right choice. Michigan had the better resume and still has a case for being the better team.
No, my insistence is that resume trumps how we predict a team will handle an injury.
I would have kept Mich a 1 seed despite losing the player. I didn't see a surging 2 seed or a 2 seed with an overall body of work warranting the 1 seed. I understand the case being Michigan may not have been able to compile their profile if Livers didn't play all year, but that puts us into a lot of speculation territory. We can only use the info we have.
This year has pretty much been all about 2 teams. An argument could be made if Livers was up maybe he has something for Juzang and Michigan is probably still playing. Tough break for Michigan, for sure. Board would have been a lot more fun this week if they were in the F4.
