If that's true, then he is gone to Cali. That was certainly one of the factors in Roy having a change of heart- there was a new AD who he didn't care for as much as he did Frederick.

If Barnes wanted to leave UT he would simply take the UCLA job or any number of jobs out there. He has already said he would not be interested in ARKY or any other SEC jobs out of respect for UT. He met with Fulmer (AD) last night and will meet with him again today. He will want more money for asst coaches, multi year contracts for asst coaches and probably a raise for himself. This is really Fulmer's first big test as AD. It is on him to lock up Barnes in what should be a very doable fashion. Of course, my opinion and $5 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Since this is his first big test, I don't have a precedent to judge by. However, I know Fulmer is all about winning, so I'll say yes. I expect the biggest change will be asst salaries and asst multi year contracts.
Here lies the problem, he basically can't stand Fulmer and Fulmers tunnel vision regarding football.

If Fulmer is all about winning, he needs to shelve the football program and give all the money to Barnes. Much better investment than trying to outspend the Bammers in the hut hut.
