Sounds like he was railing against the vaccine being mandatory and stupid ineffective mask mandates that lead to more health issues than they prevent.

If vaccines don't stop the spread, what's the end game? Permanent lockdowns and social distancing?

If vaccines do stop the spread, than why are vaccinated people worried about unvaccinated people? When did we completely change the way we live our lives because of how other people take care of their own health? Also, what's the end game?
Vaccines reduce the amount of transmission but don't completely prevent it. Its a community based issue - as a vaccinated person I can still pass along the virus to an unvaccinated individual who can pass it along to another unvaccinated person who lives with immunocompromised parents or a significant other. That individual can get sick, become hospitalized and die.

The end game is to prevent as many fatal health outcomes as possible. I could care less if there's thousands of cases a day as long as people aren't developing serious symptoms and going to the hospital.

I refuse to wear a mask anymore unless my Uber/Lyft ride or a business I go to requires it because I've done my part during this pandemic and am no longer going to worry endlessly about those who choose to accept the risks of COVID.

It is disheartening that such a large portion of this country remains unvaccinated though. We"ll never get back to normal if this continues.

I think its ok for people to care about others. I don't want ignorant people to die.

It can still be passed from one vaccinated person to another as well. Of course the theory (and usually the reality) is that the symptoms will be reduced for those that are already vaccinated. If people don't want to get vaccinated at this point that is on them, but we can't keep the world on pins and needles forever. This disease isn't going away. It is here to stay no matter what happens, regardless of "herd immunity" or anything else. New variants will continue to develop too, just like the flu, and every year the vaccine will be a crapshoot whether it works or not because there are so many different strains and you can't vaccinate against all of them. So, thanks CHINA! BTW, yes, I got my shots because I have already been juiced up with everything known (and not known) to man thanks to my time in the military. So, why stop now? I also just read that they are making the vaccine mandatory for the military.

I don't have any real beef with anything in your post. But as far as caring about others, that's a little too feelingsy for me. I do care about others, I care about others being able to live their lives without being restricted by other people's health problems or concerns. There is a vaccine readily available and free for those who need it or want it. I have had covid and am vaccinated. Why do I have to change the way I live because of someone else's concerns? If you or someone you are routinely around are compromised or at higher risk, it is you and them that need to take precautions. The world needs to go on. I know that sounds heartless to the feelings crowd, but it is the harsh reality of life.

I have it now. Sucks. Body ache and a cough for a week now.

I never got a cough from it. I understand that it is a painful cough. I was easily winded for a couple of days. No real fever. Actually got a worse fever from the 2nd shot. The most uncomfortable symptom I had was I had the worst sore throat I have ever had. My wife is the one who gave it to me and she had no symptoms other than some breathing issues. We were really concerned about her getting it because she's had a lot of surgeries and her doctor said she was a very high risk for the effects of covid. Just shows how it affects people differently for whatever reason.

What I have heard is that if you have a severe cough, you need treatment. I hope you are talking to a doctor and following recommendations. Congrats on the natural immunity.

This doesn't even give any context. You can't see the flag she is talking about, which actually is a Tigger (from Winnie the Pooh) flag. I learned that from the Google machine (stole Brooky's thunder). At least she's not shitting on the Stars and Stripes.
It shows the flag at the end.

Honestly, I thought it was the American flag when I posted, then finished the video. Still stupid af.

Called doc today. No shortness of breath. No fever.

Old school hard hitting journalist have to just cringe.

I've seen more integrity in propaganda pamphlets, countries used to drop in opposing countries.

Anyone ever had to kick their own door in before? This morning was the second time I've had to do it in the last couple of years. My dumbass locks myself out of my house with no spare keys hidden around.

My sister and I got home from school once and had both forgotten our keys. She held a ladder while I climbed it and jumped into my parent’s open second story window.

I haven’t kicked any doors in, though.
