This seems staged. Shaky video and empty trash can.
A) it’s not a ‘safer prisons’ initiative.
B) In 2011, the Supreme Court ordered Cali to reduce its prison population. This is part of the ongoing effort toward that end.
C) This isn’t an immediate release of prisoners. They’re increasing the reward for ‘good behavior credits’ earned mostly by going to rehabilitation courses and not shanking people. The reward is a reduction in sentence of one third and increased parole priority.
D) The prisoners eligible for this who are serving life sentences, were sentenced to life with the possibility of parole. I think this just moves up their parole date.
It’s pretty easy to not ‘shank’ someone in my humble opinion...
That tweet was intentionally misleading, so I was just stating the facts.
There’s a difference between ‘this dude’s sentence has been reduced from 18 to 12 years’ and ‘They’re letting all of the murderers out tomorrow and they’re going to rape all the women and kill all the kids! Panic!’
How about focusing on non-violent offenders. IDK maybe stoners?

I left there in 2017 and mjane was flowing freely everywhere. If you didn't have a medical marijuana card, it was on you. So easy to get. Dispensaries everywhere. Even home delivery lol.
This isn’t specifically targeting violent offenders. Cali has made strides in reducing sentencing for nonviolent offenders already. They’re not prioritizing violent offenders.
Naaah---I saw that. But then you added---"prefer a taser". SO which is it? Shoot away---or use a taser?
