I love it. Student loan debt forgiveness shouldn't happen. You knew what you were getting into, so take responsibility for it. Or be smarter and get scholarships you dumb shits. Welcome to the real world, bitches. Mommy ain't gonna be there to wipe your ass for you anymore. It's hilarious those idiots believed he was gonna bail them out. 😆 😆 😆

Y'all see where mayor Beetlejuice said that retailers should better protect their merchandise instead of condemning the rash of smash and grab robberies in Chicago? Always the victim's fault, never the misunderstood criminal. People in those cities deserve what they get. Either vote these pieces of shit out of office, or get yourself out. Or deal with the consequences of your vote.
yea, we do not like her or Kimm Fox here in Chicago. Even the black people are getting sick of their shit and the nonstop crime. But, not my problem anymore...I'm in the suburbs now!

Uh oh, this one will trigger brooky for sure.

A little. The guy was grabbing the money and didn’t appear to be making threats or armed (he could have, can’t tell from the vid).

You usually can’t shoot people just for stealing, but I’m learning that self-defense laws seems to be FUBAR, so who knows.

What self-defense laws seem FUBAR? Certainly you're not referring to the Rittenhouse case, which was as obvious as self-defense gets (as proven by the competent jury that acquitted him).

Do I get my republican card taken away if I say free healthcare wouldn't bother me? I won't get behind the "everyone should get to go to college" motion, but healthcare, I think I could.

As evidenced in the Rittenhouse trial, you don’t need to be in danger of serious bodily harm or death in order to shoot and kill people.

I’ll gladly take student loan relief

Yes. Canada sucks and nothing is "free"

Certainly no danger of bodily harm or death from people that tell you they are going to kill you then commence to chasing you as you run away, swing skateboards at your head, and point guns at you. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

Word

Most people I know continued to pay while interest wasn’t accruing. It was the smart move for people who had the money to do it.

The smart move was to invest that money and then hope Biden would cave on forgiveness. Or hammer down any other debt and hope Biden would cave on forgiveness.

I'm for capping what hospitals can actually charge patients for procedures.

Same. I think the problem starts with hospitals/doctors.

I understand if a doctor has a special set of skills that allows him/her to perform procedures most others can’t or perform them better than most others. Charge a premium for that. But a knee replacement shouldn’t cost $10k at one hospital and $40k at the hospital down the street (or whatever knee replacements cost).

Where are we supposed to get our money from? It’s absurd what we charge for some stuff but it’s directly related to having to recoup money lost by so many leaches in the system.

A basic principle I learned in my global healthcare class was that the three pillars of health care are Quality, Access, and Affordability. You can choose two.

Our health care system would be infinitely better if the population didn’t abuse emergency rooms and use them as immediate primary care instead of emergency rooms. An ultrasound through the ER is going to cost like 3 times more than an ultrasound ordered through primary care. ER doctors are always worried about being sued so rather then practicing medicine so they Cover Their Ass.

Patient comes in to the ER for cramping 4 weeks since her last period.

There’s a massive chance this patient is just starting her period but because of the offchance it’s ovarian torsion the ED doctor will order an ultrasound and/or CT before clearing the patient.

Now a case where the patient probably didn’t need to see a provider goes from $0 past the $500-$1000 primary care and ultrasound charge, to a $5000 ER bill.

And then she decides to never pay it.

That money has to come from somewhere. It’s a big problem. Not the only problem in health care, but a big one. It’s the big reason I voted for Obama and his Affordable Care Act. In theory it should’ve put a huuuge dent on ER abuse. It didn’t.

This wasn't a case of self defense. There is not a self defense clause that this would fall under. I don't give a shit that the guy is dead, he was a piece of shit for trying to take people's earned money. I wouldn't have shot him, but don't blame the guy for doing it. There has to be consequences for strong armed robbery and there are no adequate consequences in these liberal cities. This guy is likely going to be charged with 2nd degree murder, and according to the law, he should be. But I hope the jury lets him walk.

A lot of hospitals are set up as non profits. And boy do they profit. To keep this status they spend profits by buying up other smaller hospitals and control an entire region under one umbrella. They buy real estate to shield profits.

Smaller community hospitals being bought up by large hospitals is a good thing for those small hospitals and patients that go there.

Why is that ER bill $5,000 is the question.

Because insurances will only pay $4,750 and if you don't have insurance they will take whatever they can or write it off on taxes.

Why is that ER bill $5,000 is the question.

Because emergency care is expensive. That’s why it should be reserved for emergencies and not primary care.

I get paid $150 to do an ultrasound when I come in to the ER. Triple what I’d make during a routine shift. I’d imagine to the ER doctor involved, the radiologist reading imaging scans, nurses, techs, pharmacists, etc. involved in that “emergent care” for that patient that isn’t paying for any of it.

Yes, it's called a monopoly and it's bullshit.
