Place to put my Nonsense Thread.

Yeah, I'm close to it but think it will go north of me. Following some Twitter accounts that are in Mayfield trying to help and it is not looking good at all.

I did go down earlier and get the storm shelter ready just in case. A lot of wind here but no real danger yet. I'll be up until it is over though making sure it's all good.
Glad it looks good for you. Hope it stays that way. It's terrible for a lot of people and they don't expect it to stop anytime soon. I am sitting in my office following this stuff. Crazy.

Here is one from earlier.

Yeah, apparently this tornado has done some pretty rare stuff with how it has stayed on the ground for so long. That is a scary as hell picture there. That's huge.

Also saw somewhere that part of the upper level rotation was the highest wind speeds ever recorded by Doppler Radar.

Stay safe!!

Those storm chasers are a special kind of stupid. Not saying that's what these people are, just thought I would mention that. 😆 I am talking about the people that do it for fun, not the scientists.

Last I saw, it had been on the ground for 260 miles. At one point, the estimated width was 3 miles. Not sure if it is still going, they are following one near Big Rock now. About to cross into Kentucky.

Yeah, I'm not particularly scared of storms tbh but still stay pretty diligent for the family. But I have zero interest in chasing down a killer tornado. No thanks.

Holy crap. That is just absurd. Yeah, I know the Big Rock area very well. I could drive there in just a few minutes.

I have only seen a funnel cloud. Never seen a tornado on the ground. Always been a little mesmerized by them. Wouldn't go out of my way to chase one, but I probably would take dumb risks if one was in sight.

Apparently Big Rock escaped it. It touched down in Dover and is currently near Pembroke. Saying it is another massive tornado.

Also Memphis is under a PDS warning. Looks like the southeast side of town is going to be really close to the path of another tornado.

Somebody give @JimboBBN a wakeup call.

Meh. The storms will die in the hills like they always do. Louisville hasn’t had a bad tornado or anything close to it in almost 50 years. The meteorologists are doing everything they can to scare people.

Raining like crazy right now but that will all that happens for the next 8 hours or so.

Hope so. Mile wide tornado right not near Fairview. I know that's not particularly close to you. But also in an area not used to seeing this.

Seriously. If I was gonna get swept up in wind tonight would be the night. Took this girl out and she was getting hit on and drinks from anouther giu the whole night. I am usually a smooth talker, but maybe my age and extra fat are losing it for me.

Man, that's crazy. Obviously Ft. Campbell is close to me. The wind here is really picking up but I still don't think any of the really nasty stuff is going to hit us. Obviously that can change quickly though.

The worst that’s going to happen has already come through the Louisville suburbs. For whatever reason, we just hardly ever get those tornados that hit the Midwest or south. The elevation of the land has to have something to do with it.
Still hearing the tornado sirens but it’s going to be nothing but rain until morning.

I’ve heard a lot about death toll tonight. Hope it’s not as serious as some are making it out to be.
