Place to put my Nonsense Thread.

Can we hear something negative about DeSantis that doesn't pertain to him having an R next to his name? I'll give some positives.

Governs the state with the oldest population and has the third highest population in the U.S. and ranks 27th per capita in covid deaths despite the previous facts. All while keeping his state's economy going and assuring that people are going to work.

Served in Iraq and is still an active reserve for the Navy Seals.

Graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law. Thedude would nut all over this if he was a Democrat.

Doesn't put up with media bullshit.

Pushes back against radical agendas such as males participating in female's sports.

Stands behind LACs over the mob.

There's more, but I won't bother.
Speaking of dudes competing against women, this guy in the Olympics with women

Well that’s a low bar to clear haha
Wasn’t my point at all. You asked how we feel, most republicans would still vote for Trump given the chance again. So I mentioned that I would vote for DeSantis over Trump to give you some kind of an idea on how republicans feel about him. And you want to comment like a dick.

Close. The lowest bar was in the White House. Just last year. You don’t remember?
Wrong. There is literally nothing that you can point to that suggests we are better off with the dementia riddled child diddler than we were with Trump outside of feelings.

Imagine saying DeSantis is dumb because he "pandered to the lowest common denominator of his base" when the Dems have been pandering to identity politics for the past decade.

I’m sorry facts disagree with your feelings

Identity politics has been the GOP platform for just as long. You live in a hole or something?

I listed some positives. It's your turn to provide substance behind your partisan claims.

Maybe I should type it differently for effect (affect? I still don’t know the difference)?

The. Legislation. He. Has. Recently. Passed. Endorsed. Or. Created.

You know, the stuff that is direct evidence of how he governs and would lead/govern.

Thank god you cleared that up.

If you could decode that for the general population, we would all be appreciative. What legislation?

answer: you know, THE legislation.
He reminds me of Trump when he was asked about reading the bible.

Q: have you read the bible?

A: oh yes. Many times.

Q: which book do you appreciate most?

A: all of them.

Q: is there a particular book you like the most?

A: them all. I like them all the same.

With Brooky’s weird hatred of DeSantis, you know because of the thing, I’m convinced he preordered Führer Cuomo’s book and can’t wait for The Folio Society to release the special edition hardback with this sweet cover

The first rule in how to get away with murder is to have a D next to your name.

Tying education funding to the political survey results of students. Very dumb. Requiring schools/students to declare their political beliefs is also ethically questionable.

Expressly prohibiting public education curriculum changes that he views as politically influenced and in opposition to his views. Maybe not dumb. Actually savvy. But highly unethical. Pushing out beliefs he doesn’t support while pushing in beliefs he does support in early education.

A bill to prevent social media companies from blocking politicians who spread false or hateful information. Pretty dumb.

This one is less impactful but funny that Florida had to write a bill to catch up to public school curriculums started decades ago in states with fair-to-good public education: His law emphasizing civics instruction and the perils of communism. Welcome to the 21st century, Florida.

Expanding ‘stand your ground’ laws to potentially allow for murder for property crimes. I don’t wholly disagree with stand-your-ground laws, but Florida needed to look into limiting its scope, not expanding it to allow you to blast Jimmy with a shotgun for breaking a window.

Expanding laws to restrict peaceful protests. If you protest peacefully but a handful of protestors turn violent, you’re all guilty by association, as if that’s something you can control. It’s intended purpose is to prevent protests in the first place.

I don’t like Cuomo.

See post below, clown

I don't have a problem with having teachers declare their politics beliefs. It could help balance schools out so that kids are getting are getting both viewpoints. But this also would require our school systems to not be complete shit holes where we just push out cattle who can't critically think anymore.

The old saying goes. It's not that I value my property over Jimmy's life. It's that Jimmy valued my property over his own life. Fvck Jimmy.

If you are part of a peaceful protest and a handful of protesters turn violent, you are no longer a part of a peaceful protest. You are a part of a violent protest.

That other stuff, I may not agree with. Not educated on it. But there is no politician on either side that has policies that 100% of their followers agree with. That's just very difficult for democrats to admit out loud. Judging by the track record of the left to be super dramatic about the right, I'd bet there isn't that much to these policies.

Oh, so after being pushed by four different posters to elaborate on your vague and baseless claim, you finally provide something of substance and that disqualifies my previous analogy? Nah.

Oh sorry I’m not at everybody’s beck and call to respond point-by-point immediately.

Keep being a clown, though.

It’s my daughter’s birthday and I just left an eye appointment. Is it okay with everybody if I don’t respond every 5 minutes today? Just want to make sure.

You started the conversation, you should have provided substance without having been asked. Don't act like you simply hadn't gotten around to it.

Very similar to Lebrons answer on anything...right after he tells anyone within earshot how educated he is.
