Your mom's
He’ll crawl back in his safe space eventually. Poor guy let tar heel fans run him off this board and he had to go “incognito”. What a dipshit..Laughing
Mississippi State is not close to VT. They barely were bowl eligible. You guys had a great bounce back year.
Both teams are happy with their trajectory. Only one fan here is discounting the other team though.
After going to our 4th string qb, who is a wide receiver with no accuracy or timing, we had no business beating anyone at the D1 level. Once Terry went down, it took a while to figure it out.
If we played MSU now, we Would destroy them.
I'm damn proud of what UK football did this year for sure.
Villian you are a sore loser. The same Miss St team that beat UK is not close to VT, who UK beat. Injuries happen, I know it sucks, but they are part of the game. Also if VT played in the SEC WEST like Miss St. (the sec west is a totally different animal than the east, maybe only comparable to whatever the division is in the B1G that has OSU, Michigan, and Penn State. I’m not sure VT even makes a bowl game playing Miss States schedule. All pretty irrelevant though. Both teams( Uk and UL) had good years, 8-5, we were coming off the worse year in my lifetime and UK got hit hard by the injury bug, esp at the most important position on the field. While also losing quite a bit to the NFL draft (Allen and snell among others) I’d say both teams had successful seasons. But I’ll also say neither team really beat a good team all season.
UK- VT, Louisville, UT Martin, Vandy, Missouri, Arkansas, Toledo, and EMU
Louisville- Miss St, Syracuse, NC State, Virginia, Wake Forest, Boston College, EKU, WKU
I think Wake was the only ranked win by either team at the time they played them, but idk who I’d even say was the best win, maybe uva, maybe wake, maybe Mizzou, as they were 5-3 coming into that game.
I’ll let yall decide who the best win is in that group of Juggernauts, but again pretty irrelevant when UK waxed our ass on the field.
Regardless I’d say both programs are trending up, with UK having the current advantage (as they’ve proven on the field). Regardless it feels like a good time to be a fan of either.
And i gotta give stoops his props, he’s done better at UK than I ever imagined. I remember laughing when UK gave him and extension after a 2-10 (I think) season, thinking I hope they keep this porky pig doppelgänger around forever, and boy was I wrong. He’s already been more successful at UK than I figured he ever would, and that’s not even taking into account the future looks bright as well.
You don't think it took a couple if games for a guy to adjust to the qb position in SEC play? It's a lot more than just running the ball through a hole.So Bowden never ran the Wildcat formation before the injuries to Wilson and then Sawyer? I know snell did last year when Wilson was healthy so I figured Bowden did some early in the year as well but idk I think the UF was the first UK game I watched this year.
Regardless I don’t think it should take “a while to figure out” how to run plays UK had been running for the last couple of years, especially when they are mostly run plays between the tackles. If anything it was probly more of a mental hurdle for the team than just figuring out the Xs and Os
Villian you are a sore loser.
See you next year.
No facts please, they tend to ruin a good illogical argument! SmokinSmileFWIW, College Football News had Miss St #57 in their end of year rankings before the bowl games. VT was #22.
Kentucky is working on getting Joey Gatewood eligible and having wilson as the QB1 is a much better option than Bowden. I love Lynn but Kentucky's only losses this season occurred because they simply couldn't score on defenses that eat one dimensional offenses alive.Your team played unconventional style football, not easy to prepare for when you don’t regularly see it. Other than Wilson, you have no other serviceable quarterbacks, please don’t count the true freshman or Sawyer Smith. Y’all had a good season, if TW hadn’t gotten hurt you’d probably still be 8-5.
Yes you have a good coaching staff but they cannot recruit and its even worse than you think because not only can they not recruit elite prospects but they cannot even recruit guys with power 5 offers. You can continue to win 7-9 games in the ACC with these rosters but you cannot beat an SEC with the amount of pure size and talent on the offensive and defensive lines like Kentucky has.You guys are good, far from great. I love our coaching staff, we’ll be fine when we get more depth. Don’t over exaggerate your teams ability, good not anything more.
This was a down year for Kentucky and the roster. Louisville fans said all off season kentucky would win 5-6 games and return to old form because they lost Snell and the entire defense. The defense is extremely young and ADDED an elite DB from LSU in Kelvin Joseph while finishing with a top 25 defense and top 5 rushing offense. Kentucky will have the most talent on the roster the program has ever have in 2020 and 2021. There will be 4 and 5 star guys on the 2 AND 3 deep at every position. Kentucky's roster and team will be just fine and like I said they won 8 GAMES in DOWN YEAR.No, Benny Snell was your offense, just like Bowden was this year.
Not sure what part of my post makes me a sore loser but whatever. I just found it comical that the Miss ST team we beat in our bowl game isn’t on the same level of the VT team UK beat in their bowl game when Miss St beat UK during the year.
Then I went on to say it’s also pretty irrelevant when UK waxed our ass on the field this year anyways.
Facts are horrible. That's exactly the point. Mississippi State sucked and were lucky to be bowl eligible. They beat Kentucky when UK still had Sawyer Smith out there despite him not being able to throw the ball at all due to injury. UK wins a rematch with Bowden at QB by double digits.
Team A > Team B > Team C doesn't mean Team A > Team C.
It wasn’t my choice, @JimboBBN hooked it up.
Practice what you preach old man.Facts are horrible.
Facts screw up illogic.
GEEZE!
Thanks RR30.
No, just means we beat a team that you didn’t, meanwhile losing to your team. Collegiate athletics are funny like that. So, let me see if I understand where this thread is, by UofL beating MSU that gives them redemption and on equal or better footing than UK?

I can't explain it to you, if you don't get just how hard that is, I'm not even going to try.

No, but dismissing Miss st as trash when they beat y’all is pretty ignorant.
And u can say if Bowden had been qb y’all woulda beat up by 50 but he didn’t, and they won the game.
Just like I can say if we hadn’t been playing in a monsoon with half our team with the flue we wouldn’t have got rolled by 40 against up, but we did. We can make excuses all day but it doesn’t change the W/L record. And again again pretty irrelevant when y’all stomped ya head to head.
