And cal is just about finding the most athletic high schoolers and rolling the ball out there.
Calipari owns Pitino. He isn’t better than Rupp. Probably the second best all time at Kentucky.
Their resumes in Lexington are pretty similar. They both took a program who was down and turned them into contenders very quickly. Pitino had to overcome quite a bit more than Calipari did though.
It’s tough to say who was the better Kentucky coach. Both were excellent there.
Again what cal does Pitino while pitino is at another school other than UK is not relevant here.

I'll say that Pitino with Donovan as his assistant was better than Cal. Donovan was the recruiter, not Pitino. Without Donovan, not so much. Tubby shouldn't even be in this conversation. Pitino wanted to be larger than the program, and that just won't happen.
Hall followed Rupp, and Rupp didn't want Hall at the reigns. Can you imagine the coach that follows K? Hall was also an innovator bringing weight training in the mix with Basketball. That was almost taboo before Hall.

Assuming Dante can get his bearings by tourney time I really like the Ducks. Lost a few close ones so far w/o him, but they don't give up and will have all the ingredients, esp. w/ Dante.
I give tubby’s title to pitino. I also think the competition was much better in the 90s than it has been the last 10 years

In all odds, Cal will be here quite a bit longer, hopefully adding more final fours and championship. Pitinos cement has been dry for a long time.
